Rumi is a spunky, long haired kitten with the softest fluff, the sweetest little face, and a heart full of snuggles. She’s the kind of kitten who believes every lap is a throne and every shoulder is prime nap real estate. If you sit down for more than thirty seconds, there’s a good chance Rumi will magically appear curled against your chest like a tiny purring scarf. This little lady loves: • Cuddles and cozy naps • Playing until she dramatically flops over sleepy • Food time (she takes her snacks very seriously) • Sleeping in baskets like a tiny woodland fairy • Kids and gentle attention • Other cats and feline friends Rumi hasn’t been around dogs yet, so slow introductions would be best if her future home has pups. Rumi must be adopted with a sibling (Saja or Mira) or friend or go to a home with another young cat (under 1.5 years). She’s equal parts playful fluffball and affectionate cuddlebug, wrapped up in a gorgeous patchwork coat. Rumi is looking for a home where she can be loved endlessly, nap artistically in baskets, and supervise your daily activities from your shoulder like the tiny queen she is. Callie came to me 4 days after being attacked by a dog. Two days latwr she had one single orange kitten. She was living in a neighbor's bush. She is very sweet and purrs, chirps, and responds when you talk to her. She is very scared of my dog (understandable). She is small was 7.5 lbs before she had her kitten. She will be fixed as soon as she is done nursing. Urgent she find a home as I have dogs.

We found this sweet girl in a ditch during a storm. We would love to keep her but she needs a home where she can sit in a lap, snuggle, have attention and play. We have dogs that won't allow it. I am charging a small rehoming fee but she comes with her bed, toys and a nice cat tree.

Smokey chose us. I came home from work she ran out of the garage and moved on in. She is an indoor outdoor cat. Sleeps most the day and mouses at night when it’s warm. We love her but our allergies do not it’s a true heartbreak to let her go. She doesn’t need a lot and when she chooses you she loves a belly rub and chin scratches. She is truly sweet, not a hisser and tends to do well with new people. She’s never been around small kids so I can’t comment on that but if properly introduced she can have canine friends. I don’t know how she does with other cats she seems to make friends with some ferals but not others. If there is anything else you would like to know about sweet smokey do ask.

Check out our Facebook page for new pics daily. Mama Poppy and her 6 little ones (her Popsicles) came to us when Poppy was living as a stray and delivered her babies outside in the woods. Thankfully, a kind woman gained her trust and was able to bring her and the kittens to safety inside her home until we were able to pick them up when the kittens were about one week old. May 18, 2026: Mama Poppy and I were up bright and early to head to Roxboro Animal Hospital for her wellness exam, vaccines, FIV, Feline Leukemia and Heartworm test, and parasite screening. And guess what, she got a perfect score on all parts of her test! This stellar Mama to our 6 Popsicle kittens thought this was a fun little outing! Her milk had already started drying up quite a bit now that her littles are chowing on food themselves, so we were able to schedule her spay and vaccine boosters in 3 weeks. She also will get her microchip at that time. Poppy weighed 6.7 pounds today and is looking petite and slim now that she is not full of milk and carrying any baby weight, lol. We LOVE this sweet mama. She reminds of recent alumni Mama Boomchickapop and current mama in rescue Mama Moon. All 3 are beautiful, VERY affectionate and social calicos. Mama Poppy will be ready for her forever home after her spay on June 9th. Once approved to adopt, we can set up a meet and greet in our foster home in Blanch, NC. We are 5 minutes from Yanceyville and an easy one hour drive from Durham.
