Story
Stella is a beautiful female Calico kitten who was surrendered by her owner on July 24, 2025 along with her two sisters (Meeko and RJ) and her brother (Hammy). The kittens were 4-months old at that time. Stella has a black/orange/white short smooth coat in a calico pattern, a long tail, and a classic black/orange Calico face with golden eyes, a wide orange stripe on her muzzle/forehead, and long white whiskers. Stella was spayed on September 23, 2025 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 5 lbs that day. Stella and her siblings dearly love each other, but they are still working on their social skills with regard to their people friends. They have made progress in our shelter since their arrival, but they are not yet ready to be held in your arms or snuggle up on your lap. We believe that they would do much better in a home environment with a family or individual who has the experience/patience to let them acclimate to their new home (realizing they may choose to hide for awhile until you gain their trust). The siblings have been separated into pairs so that they will have a best friend for comfort/security: [Stella & Meeko] and [Hammy & RJ] Stella and her sister Meeko (a beautiful Chocolate Point Siamese kitten) are sharing a cage and are quite compatible. They are being listed as a bonded pair and will be required to be adopted together.

Story
Erica is a beautiful 9-year old female Dilute Calico kitty who was brought to the HSOV on December 31, 2025 along with her five companions/housemates (Dustin, Hopper, Joyce, Max, and Robin). Unfortunately the individual(s) who left them in our care did not provide any information about them .. This senior citizen has a white/beige/pale gray short smooth coat in a dilute calico pattern, a long tail, and a lovely dilute calico face with golden/bronze eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers. Erica was given vaccinations, Pyrantel wormer and flea treatment on December 31, 2025/ She weighed 7 lbs that day. Erica was given booster vaccines on January 14, 2026. These photos of Erica were taken on January 2nd 2026 soon after her arrival .. And a few were taken on January 22nd 2026 after she was moved to another area of our shelter which was warmer and a bit more quiet.. We look forward to taking more flattering photos of Erica but wanted to post preliminary pictures so that potential adopters/rescue groups would know that she is in our shelter and is looking for a loving home.

Story
Whip Cream is an adorable female Dilute Calico kitten who was brought to the HSOV on September 29, 2025 along with her six siblings after they were found fending for themselves in the Vincent Ohio area with no mother in sight. This little sweetheart has a white/pale gray/beige short smooth coat in a dilute calico pattern, a long tail, and a precious kitten face with golden eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers. Whip Cream was given vaccinations on November 10, 2025. She was given booster vaccines on November 25th and December 9th, 2025. As in the case with many of the stray kitties who are brought to HSOV, Tiffany has endured a heartbreaking experience in her young life. It turned out that Tiffany was pregnant when she entered our shelter, and she gave birth to six premature stillborn babies on October 20th 2025. Sadly, all of Whip Cream's siblings had passed away by October 26th, and Whip Cream was suddenly alone since she was the sole survivor. It turned out that there was another kitty in our shelter who had also endured a heartbreaking experience in her young life. Tiffany Valentine (a one-year old female Torbie/Extra-Toes kitty) was pregnant when she entered our shelter and had given birth to six premature stillborn babies on October 20th 2025. Tiffany was understandably depressed after losing her six newborn kittens ... Our compassionate HSOV Kennel Techs placed Whip Cream with Tiffany Valentine and quickly helped to heal two broken hearts. Whip Cream and Tiffany Valentine have remained together and are currently sharing a large cat tower in the hallway of our shelter. Whip Cream and Tiffany Valentine have sweet dispositions and playful personalities. Whip Cream is estimated to be 4-months old as of January 30th, 2026. Whip Cream (and Tiffany Valentine) will be spayed in the near future and will be looking for a loving home together either through adoption or rescue. Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.

Story
Joyce is a stunning 1-1/2 year old female Calico kitty who was brought to the HSOV on December 31, 2025 along with her five companions/housemates (Dustin, Erica, Hopper, Max, and Robin). Unfortunately the individual(s) who left them in our care did not provide any information about them .. This little lady has an orange/white/brown short smooth coat in a calico pattern, a long ringed tail, and a beautifully-marked calico face with golden/bronze eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers. Joyce was given vaccinations, Pyrantel wormer and flea treatment on December 31, 2025/ She weighed 7 lbs that day. Joyce was given booster vaccines on January 14, 2026. Joyce is sharing a large cage with Max (a female buff tabby/white kitty) who had been brought in with the group of six. Joyce and Max are rather shy, so they have been kept together so that they can provide comfort/security for each other. Most of these photos of Joyce were taken on January 2nd 2026 soon after her arrival .. And a few were taken on January 23-24, 2026 after she and her best friend Max were moved to another area of our shelter which was warmer and a bit more quiet.. Joyce will be spayed in the near future (tentatively on February 9, 2026) and will be ready to find a loving home with a special someone who will have the patience to let her acclimate to her new surroundings on her own time. Naturally we'd love to see Joyce and her bestie Max adopted together.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! My name is Lydia. My babies and I were found outside the Sistersville City Building by two nice ladies. They called the Olive Branch for help. I needed a safe place to take care of my babies. Both of my babies have long since been adopted, but here I am...waiting. I don't understand why. I'm a very nice kitty. I'm a litte bit shy at first, but I'm looking for ear scratches and attention in no time. I get along well with the other cats, and I don't seem to mind dogs, as long as they aren't too nosey.  I'll make a great companion for someone who is looking for a bright eyed girl like me! I have been spayed, combo tested and vaccinated. If you would like to meet me, call 304-652-1010 to set up a time.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 11, 2025, 3:01 pm

Hammy and RJ are an adorable pair of kittens who were surrendered by their owner on July 24, 2025 along with their two sisters (Meeko and Stella). The kittens were 4-weeks old at that time. Hammy is a handsome male Tuxedo kitten. He has a black-and-white short smooth coat in a tuxedo pattern, white paws, a long tail, and an adorable face with golden eyes, a black velvet nose, a small patch of white on the right-hand side of his muzzle, and long white whiskers. Hammy has a beautiful white/silver undercoat. RJ is a cute female Chocolate Point Siamese kitten. She has a cream/ivory short smooth coat, a long chocolate brown tail, and an adorable face with blue eyes, a large brown mask, a pink nose, a white muzzle, and long white whiskers. These siblings dearly love each other, but they are still working on their social skills with regard to their people friends. Story
Wobbles is an adorable 3-month old female kitten who was brought to the HSOV on August 11, 2025 along with her brother (Weebles) and their mother (Mrs. Thumbs) by a Good Samaritan who found this little family in the Little Hocking Ohio area. This little dollbaby has a gray-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and a beautiful gray/white symmetrically-marked face with hopeful trusting eyes, a charcoal gray nose, and long gray whiskers. Wobbles was given vaccinations and wormer on August 12, 2025. She was given booster vaccines on September 5, 2025. Wobbles went home with a foster mother on August 11, 2025 since she is most likely a CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia) kitty (a neurological condition in which the cerebellum is smaller than usual or not completely developed. This is a disorder found in cats (and dogs) which causes jerky movements, tremors and generally walking and balance problems. It is a non-progressive and non-contagious condition. Symptoms appear at birth although they may not be noticed until the kitten starts walking. These photos of Wobbles were taken late in the afternoon on August 11th (the day she arrived at HSOV). Thanks to HSOV Kennel Tech Madison Lee for so lovingly assisting Wobbles with her first photos and for offering her a wonderful foster home. Wobbles has the sweetest disposition and is an easy kitten to fall in love with.

Story
Agent Two is a handsome male kitten who was surrendered by his owner on September 30, 2025 along with several other kittens because the family had too many cats and was unable to give them the care that they so desperately needed. Unfortunately five of the kittens passed away soon after being brought to our shelter. Thanks to the loving care of our HSOV Kennel Techs, Agent Two survived in addition to seven of his siblings/housemates (Beelzebub, Millie, Loona, Mammon, Oz, Striker, and Verosika). Agent Two has an orange tabby short smooth coat, a long ringed tail, and an adorable kitten face with golden eyes, a pink nose, and long white whiskers. Agent Two was estimated to have been 6-weeks old when he entered our shelter and weighed 2.1 lbs. He was given vaccinations and Drontal wormer on October 18, 2025. Oz was given booster vaccines on November 6th and November 22nd 2025. These pictures were taken on January 10, 2026 when HSOV kennel tech Madison Lee assisted Agent Two with his photo session. This young man has a shy, rather reserved, personality. Agent Two was definitely out of his comfort zone and initially decided to pose behind the blanket which was being used as a backdrop (which naturally broke our hearts to see Agent Two looking so frightened). Thanks to Madison's gentle encouragement and extra TLC, Agent Two relaxed for several cute pictures and seemed to sense that he was safe with Madison. Agent Two is good with other cats/kittens and is currently sharing a large tower with his brother Striker. Agent Two will be looking for a quiet home with a special someone who will have the patience to let him adjust to his new surroundings on his own time schedule .. And to please not give up on him if he chooses to hide for awhile. Agent Two will be neutered (tentative in February 2026) before being adopted by his new family (a requirement for HSOV adoptions to be finalized).
