Sadie is declawed, and does not scratch furniture. She is very sociable and affectionate. She is a cuddly lap cat that purrs loudly when she is petted. Sadie follows me from room to room, and I'm tickled when she watches me wash dishes, fold laundry and put away groceries. She loves to inspect the grocery bags (I think because she wishes there were treats in every bag). Overall she has a calm demeanor, but at bedtime she is playful. If the adults in your household work full time, she enjoys her alone time while you are at work. She does not get anxious when she is alone. I think she would tolerate other cats, dogs well. She chooses to sleep at night, when most cats run through the house creating loud rackets. If you value a good night's sleep, she will leave you alone.

April was a young mother when she came to CCC. She was found on April 1, 2025 with her newborns so was given the birthday of April 1, 2024. She raised her babies with the help of foster parents before moving to the adoption floor in June 2025. April was anxious when she first got to the adoption floor and tended to stay underneath the cat trees. Slowly over the past few months she has gradually moved up the cat trees to where she can now be found almost at eye level. She still is very hesitant around people so it will take a while for her to warm up with a family. She would do best in a quiet home with an understanding family who will give her time to adjust to the new environment. She has shown comfort with Sparky so would probably do well with other low energy cats who could be a comfort for her.

Daughter saved her from the local area as she was abandoned She had 4 kittens and we found good loving homes for all the kittens . She has been fixed and got a clean bill of health from the vet . She is extremely lovable and very vocal. She will sleep next to you or on you at night and loves a lot of petting. We are trying to find loving homes for our all animals as we might be loosing our home .

Callie Sassafras used to be named Sassy, but since she is anything but sassy, we decided she needed a new name. She is the sweetest girl you would ever want to meet. Her mom was dumped out in the country and gave birth to Callie Sassafras and her siblings somewhere in the woods. We slowly were able to gather up everyone in the family and get them in to the vet. Callie Sassafras was the last kitten of the group to finally trust us and decide she wanted a better life. Once she was in our care, Callie Sassafras became the loveliest girl ever. She loves to be petted and rolls over for belly rubs and will sit next to you looking for love. She loves her cat tree and likes to hang out there watching the birds out the window. Callie Sassafras is a gorgeous calico with a tiny tip of white on the very end of her tail. She has soft fur like a bunny and lovely coloring. Her face looks like she smeared her nose in butter. Callie Sassafras is good with other cats and is young enough that she could easily be introduced to a dog. She would be best with older, cat savvy children. Callie Sassafras is about 9 months old. She has been spayed, vaccinated, treated with flea preventative, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV.
