Story
I desperately need a good home for this sweet rescue, offering lots of patients getting use to a new home environment, TLC & financial capability of routine vet check-ups. She's a Calico, named is Patches, because of her patchwork markings. She was a stray for 3 years that came to my house periodically for food & fresh water. I finally got her in the garage on a cold night last winter where she's been every since. She does like to spend her days hunting and lying around the yard or in and out of the garage. She would also make a good house cat as she is well trained using a litterbox. She's accustomed to 2 litterboxes cleaned daily. I will provide both boxes, plus 2 mo's of Advantage Multi Flea Treatment. I regret that I am unable to keep Patches. She's gotten very territorial & jumps on my 12 yr sweet female, Chipper that likes to be outside daily too. Patches will be best suited in a single cat, no dogs or children home, as she can be a little temperamental, but very loving.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
MC ( momma cat) is ready to leave her litter and find her Furever home. She is approximately 14 months old with a sweet and kind demeanor. She is loving, playful and enjoys cuddles or lying around by herself. She looooves to eat and sit by the windows on a sunny day. She seems to be the kind of cat that would be possibly good with dogs or children She’s good with other cats as I have several and she gets along with them all.May 24, 2024, 9:37 pm

Story
Almost Home believes that every animal deserves a loving home regardless of appearance, age, or physical limitation.  We have come together to give animals in need the safe and happy life they all deserve.  Almost Home Animal Rescue believes that no animal is expendable.  Adopting a friend:The animals, lucky enough to find refuge with Almost Home, are all in loving foster homes. If you are interested in the possibility of giving one of the animals a new lease on life, please contact us. The contact information is listed at the end of each biography.  What you need to do to adopt:If you would like to adopt a pet in need from Almost Home, basically, an application must be filled out. We will check two personal references and a vet reference. If you are approved for adoption, there is a trial period of about one week to make sure this is the animal for you and you are the person for the animal. Along with the trial period, a contract must be signed that basically states that if ever you cannot keep the animal that you must return the animal to Almost Home. Last but not least, a home check will be done. Meet & Greets:An approved application is required. This does not mean that you have to adopt but that you are approved to do so if everything works out. Since we are foster based, this limits the amount of people coming to our homes.  Greetings! I am Blossom I was found as a stray. I was having a hard time of it for sure. Someone was kind enough to rescue me though... WHEW! I am a darling girl that is a bit shy! I enjoy being petted and cuddling on my own terms and I prefer not being held (yet). I have a really nice foster family that has been working on making feel comfortable and safe. They say that I am an absolute sweetheart and super loving. The most amazing thing that has happened is that I met the love of my life... Simon. He is my soulmate and I don't want to ever be without him. He is sooo dreamy! He is a little shyer than I am and would rather not be picked up (yet). He will cuddle on his own terms too. We are two peas in a pod for sure, so don't ask to separate us. We both LOVE to eat, love treats and love to cuddle together. We will squish into the same cube in the cat tree just to be near one another! A calm home would be right up our alley with someone that will give us time to adjust because then you would become one of the luckiest people in the world! You would have us! Love,Blossom & Simon If you would like to meet your new best friends, contact the Adoption Coordinator at info@almosthometn.org or 865-236-0830. To fill out an application, go to www.almosthometn.org. If you cannot get it to work, let us know and we will email it to you in a different format. Unless otherwise noted, all Almost Home cats are healthy, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and flea & tick preventative.ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee for a cat is $85. The adoption fee for a kitten is $100. The adoption fee does include the kittens being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. The adoption fee for a dog is $200. The adoption fee for a puppy is $250. The adoption fee does include the puppies being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. Mature pet adoption fees are sometimes reduced. The adoption fee for pure bred dogs and cats will vary due to health and age of pet. This helps support our ill animals and our mutts that get left in the system longer. We do reserve the right to change the fees higher or lower due to the circumstance of the animal but what was stated above are the usual adoption fees.  Microchipped pets will have a higher adoption fee.  Our adoption fees do not cover the cost of the vetting and care the animal has received with us and if it ever does, the money just goes back it to helping other animals in need. May 19, 2024, 9:43 pm

Since we are foster based, this limits the amount of people coming to our homes.  Greetings! My name is Rue. Somehow I ended up in a shelter. That certainly is not the place to be. I was there for a while because it is a small shelter without many people coming through to adopt... just dump darling babies, like me. It was TERRIFYING!!! I was one of the very few fortunate ones to find a foster home. I thank my luck stars... I am an extremely sweet little gal. I am very dainty. I will be a little bit shy at first but give me a bit of time to realize I'm safe, and then I am ALL yours! I am smart! I will come running when you call my name. I love LOVE to be petted. I would be a super companion. I get along with dogs and kitties. I would enjoy a home on the quieter side of things, I would be thanking those stars again for someone that loves me and has a lap that they want warmed. I would definitely be the gal for you. Story
My aunt passed and I need to find a new home for this SWEET gentleman!! Ive taken on this task for the family. He is seriously the most laid back, chillest guy! He is an indoor cat who may like to walk with you to the mailbox or lay in the sun on the deck, but otherwise he is an inside cat. When he plays he is very gentle with his paws. He loves nothing more than to cuddle up in your lap. Think- perfect kind of bookstore cat. He does not jump up on things or knock things over, and he uses his bathroom perfectly. I'm not sure how old he is, but I believe he is on the older side. He will come with a litter box, food, and toys. Oh and he gets along with ALL people and animals ❤ (seriously)
