I found Lucy when she was just a few weeks old. She was very small, and the neighbors dog had cornered her into one of the bushes off my back porch. After the dog when back home with his owner, I lured Lucy out from the bush. She had at that point become separated from her mother and other kittens in her litter, I was afraid to leave her outside by herself so I brought her inside. That was 5 years ago. She is very independent, but loves a good snuggle. She sleeps with me, either by my head next to my pillow or at my feet depending on her mood. She loves watching Tv. When you turn the tv on she will make little "chirping" noises. She will be at my ankles while I walk. Other times she will snuggle on the couch or under it lol. She loves being rubbed on her head and side of her face. Bonus points if you rub a knuckle in her ear. She loves that. When you hit a good "spot" on her she will thump one of her back feet, like "Thumper" from Bambi. She also loves laser pointers, and scratch mats.

I’ve had Penelope for over 12 years. She grew up in a house of dogs and she is the sweetest thing. Since I’ve had her she has had on and off issues with remaining in the litter box. I’ve lifted carpet for her and tried numerous things. She has no health issues. I think she will be better suited with someone that has the time and patience for her. I think she would do well with someone who has no pets, is good with introducing pets or even someone that is home a lot. She likes to be lazy with someone. She has always been very fearful but now she enjoys stepping outside and sniffing around for 5 minutes before crying to go back inside.

Bonded with Diego.  Mystique will be shy at first but once she trusts you she is very social and wants to be wherever her humans are. She doesn't like to be picked up or held but LOVES to cuddle in your lap on the couch or beside you in bed as long as you let her initiate it. She LOVES to be pet & talked to. She's very chatty she'll follow you around and carry on a conversation. She's loves toys and she plays fetch. She's very good with other friendly kitties but gets picked on by bullyish cats. Good with older kids. (young kids probably too noisy & active for her) Loves all 3 of her foster humans not just one (meaning not bonding with just 1). She is IN LOVE with foster friend cat Diego! They aren't inseparable but she wants to be where he is most of the time. They coo at each other & bathe & nibble on each other. Apply at www.sparklecatrescue.org ##1250836##
