Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Carolina is a beautiful dilute calico. She was a family's personal pet for four years. She was indoor/outdoor and she was not fixed. After her second litter of kittens, the family decided to have her fixed and surrendered her to our care (keeping her grown kittens as their pets who we also had fixed). She is used to being around dogs, cats and small kids! She is a sweet, affectionate cat and will make a wonderful pet. This cat's adoption fee is $75. Many cats do so much better in pairs, especially kittens, which is why we offer a reduced adoption fee of $25 for the second cat (or more!). Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/. The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care. Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy. We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter. CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract. CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it. January 31, 2026, 4:54 pm

Story
Amelia is a tortie calico with a lot of attitude. She will be turning 6 in April and has a bit of anxiety. (She liked her fur off, no I didn’t shave her.) She’s shy at first but will eventually come out and greet you. She loves her little mouse toys and her greenies for treats. (She especially loves the likable cat treats and will be your friend after giving her a couple of them.) Amelia talks a lot, mostly when she is out of food or water. She doesn’t like going outside (I tried and she got scared and went back inside.) and is an indoor kitty. Amelia likes to hide under blankets, that is her safe place. She loves being pet and will purr like a motor. Note I have till mid February to get someone to adopt her, if not I’ll have to drop her off at a local pet shop. Please spread the word about Amelia, she needs a home. *Update: This Thursday Amelia will be going to the local SPCA if no one is interested.

Story
Hello, I'm Jen. I may be a senior, but I'm filled with love and affection. My days are spent in a calm, mellow state, just waiting for someone to share in my tranquility. I'm a loyal companion, always there to provide a comforting purr or a gentle nudge when you need it. I'm friendly with everyone I meet, always ready to make new friends. Sweet as can be, I'm the perfect companion to come home to after a long day. Petite in size, I don't take up much space, but I have a huge heart. I'm just waiting for the right person to share my love and loyalty with. Adopting me means gaining a devoted, sweet, and friendly companion who will always be there for you. I've previously lived with small dogs and other cats. At my last home I had some access to the outside to bathe in the sunshine. My adoption fee is sponsored!
