Calico kittens & cats in Bedford, Virginia

Meela is 8 years old and I have had her since she was a kitten. I adopted her from a Craigslist ad and have loved her dearly ever since. Unfortunately, my baby is allergic to cats, so I am looking for a loving new home for Meela. She can be shy at first, but once she is comfortable she is very loving and affectionate. She loves kneading, cuddling, and spending quiet time near her person. Meela is smart, independent, and enjoys affection on her own terms. I am not looking to make money — I just want to find her a safe, caring home where she will be loved and well taken care of.

Miss Kitty adopted our family she is very sweet cat. My husband is very allergic to her so she has to stay outside. She has a house and a cat tree on our porch but she would really be good indoor cat. She brings us “presents” and is a good mouser. When we put her in the garage in the winter on really cold nights she used the litter box She has days that she gets along with our dog Bella other days not so much. Lol.

Bitsy came from Angels of Assisi and is a very sweet, cuddly cat who does not like to be picked up but will snuggle on the couch with you. She is a bonded pair with Zooey who is also listed and I would prefer for them to be rehomed together if possible. Both cats are 2 years old. I am rehoming them because my 4-year-old daughter is having a difficult time learning to be gentle with them and I think they would be happier in a home with older children.

Sam and his brother, Dean, came into a local shelter with their mama as newborn kittens on March 28, 2026. When they were just one week old, their mom sadly lost her milk, so the boys had to be bottle fed and raised by hand. Because of this, they grew up surrounded by humans, cats, and dogs, making them incredibly social, affectionate, and confident little kittens. They are both total love bugs, live for cuddles, and they never stop purring! Because Sam and his brother share a very special bond and have spent all of their time together since birth, we would love to see them adopted as a pair into the same forever home. Sam is negative for fiv/felv, has received his first fvrcp vaccine, and he will be microchipped prior to adoption. Annie, not more than a kitten herself at 16 months, was found homeless and caring for three tiny kittens in July of 2025. A volunteer foster for BHS took them in, socialized the kittens and found wonderful homes for all three. Unfortunately, Annie was terrified of people so, at the time, she was not deemed adoptable. Her foster mom feared that she would never learn to trust and therefore her future was uncertain. Would she need to be adopted as a “barn cat” or released where she was found to fend for herself the rest of her life? Then …. after many months, with time and patience, Annie has finally learned to trust her foster mom and dad. She no longer hides, but seeks affection. Annie remains skittish, but she has also learned to enjoy quiet time with her human companions. She loves to be pet and enjoys her treats (purring all the while). Because of the tremendous progress she has made, BHS believes she will, with time, become a wonderful pet for the right person. Annie will likely be very wary of a new person in her life, but because she has shown she has the capacity to trust and welcome human affection, we are sure that she will thrive in the right environment. Annie is a beautiful, young, healthy kitty with the sweetest little kitten face! She has been spayed, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and vaccinated. Annie seems to want to make friends with her foster’s big dog, so we believe she would be ok in a home with a canine companion. Mini was born around September 2025. He was saved by a person who found him as a tiny kitten with a chin injury. After surgery to repair his chin, Mini is now ready to be adopted. Mini is all kitten but also a lap cat when it time to settle down. He is a bit active therefore not recommended for young children. He loves to play with other cats. He has a beautiful shiny black coat. Mini has been dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Mini has been neutered.
