All of her puppies were taken to their respective forever homes, and Go-woon is the only one left in the center waiting for her forever family. * She is timid and spends her time in the corner at the center most of her days. 😭 She is not low energy, but she’s wary of her world. She prefers to be alone mostly and hangs out with other timid dogs. * She is uncomfortable with people’s touch as of yet. If someone touches or tries to hug her abruptly, she nips because she gets scared. Please allow her to take her time. If approached slowly, she can be petted! 😊 * We believe that with the right person who makes effort to get to know Go-woon and understand her, she will improve. Giving Go-woon patience and love will help Go-woon to become a warm and loving pet.💗

Hyonie was found in a park in South Korea at four months old in March 2022 and taken to a high-risk shelter alongside her two sisters. Luckily, they were saved right before euthanasia by the rescue team. While one of her sisters is living with a foster family, Hyonie is still in the crowded shelter, awaiting her forever family. Personality: Shy, Cuddler, Smart Hyonie is somewhat shy around strangers and barks a little. However, she is surprisingly a BIG cuddler to people, which means that all she needs is a little bit of time to open up in the beginning. If you are searching for a cuddly pup, she would be a great fit! She learns things quickly as she is a food-driven smart cookie. You will definitely find training her a part of the joyful journey with her! With Cats : Not tested With Dogs : Gets along well with other dogs. She’s a submissive and gentle type of dog. With Adults/Kids : Good with adults / Unknown for kids Shedding : 5-6 Food Allergies : No. Walking Manner : in training and improving! Housetrained : Hyonie knows how to use pee-pads even though she lives in the shelter. She may go potty indoors (pads) and outdoors both when adopted. Bathing/Brushing : Good Bark or Howl : Barks a little bit toward strangers Likes & Dislikes : She likes going for walks, playing with toys, and chewing stuff. / She doesn’t like being kept in confined spaces. Some people wear their hearts of their sleeves, our MAX wears his heart on his forehead! How cute is this boy?! His story: MAX is a disabled Canaan dog from Jordan. MAX was also rescued from there, after having suffered abuse which caused his spinal injury and resulting back end paralysis. First, he was shot and left for dead, then a rescue that was supposed to help him actually mistreated him, causing him to suffer even more. Then a real rescuer stepped in, truly saving his life, and now he is here looking for his forever home. His stats: MAX is 5-6 years old and weighs about 45lbs. We have already had him to our vet and he got a clean bill of health. He is also neutered and now fully vetted. His future home: MAX can live with dogs 30+lbs. and kids 8+ years old. Cats unknown. We are seeking an adopter with handicapped dog experience and a fenced back yard preferably on Long Island. Hi, I am Luca, an affectionate 2 ½-year-old Canaan Dog that has quite a story! I am originally from a shelter in Bethlehem, Palestine. I made my way to the United States in August and have been fostered in New Jersey since. I have adapted well to my new life and am excited to find my forever home. Once I get to know someone well, I'll warm up to them quickly. There is nothing I won't do for cuddles and belly rubs! This is because I love people! I also like other dogs; however, I need a slow introduction. I know my basic training commands and am exceptionally good at “sit” and “down.” My foster family has worked with a professional trainer, and they continue to train me. They report that I am making great progress as my breed is very smart and known for my exceptional training abilities. According to my foster family, I am extremely loving, affectionate, and loyal. I love hanging out on the porch or in the backyard and would do best in a home with some enclosed outdoor space. I will happily rest my head on my foster mom's lap or turn over for belly rubs while we are watching TV. I am fully house trained, vaccinated, and healthy. I would do best with an experienced forever person or family who would take pleasure in continuing to train me. My ideal home is one without little humans since I enjoy a calm environment. Meet Snowflake! He is a jindo mixed breed who got rescued recently from our team. He is one-year-old, 15.8kg/34.8lbs boy. Behaviours from the previous foster: He is very smart and gentle. He is well potty-trained. He isn’t a big barter. Even if he barks when he is scared by a stranger, he can stop soon with your short and firm “No”. He has no separation anxieties at all and he is ok with bath, groomming, ear cleaning. (He gets a little bit nervous in the dry room but can be stay still.) He has good walking manner. He can walk at owner’s pace together. He gets along with other dogs too. But he walks, he tends to concentrate to only his walking. He doesn’t have any interest in other people and dogs on his walk. He may be a little bit shy at first time, But he will approach to you once you give him some time and space to get used to his new environment and his new family. He loves people so much and especially the one who give him an attention and cuddles. He has so much love in him. He will give you a big love if you show him your love. He would love to play with you and be with you forever. Allergy/health issues: He is a little bit weak in the intestine. Sometimes he eats his poop, called ‘coprophagy’ Which is known as one of the symptom came from indigestion. We feed him lactobacillus to help it. He tends to eat in a hurry, Which is not good to digestion. So we also feed him with slow-wearing machine to help him eat slowly.

He used to be so timid around people and shy away from human touches. How had he changed since then! He now acts charming to volunteers. White reaches out his paws to his cage door to meet volunteers. Whenever his cage is cleaned, he is standing on his tiptoe to avoid water as much as possible! These moments are so precious! He's now in a professional training center so that he can learn the basics. He's ready to be your family!! White is a sweet and playful boy and he would make a great addition to any home!
