Story
Meet Buddy! 🐾❤️ Buddy is a 2-year-old, 47-pound Shepherd/Canaan/Kelpie mix who has spent his entire life waiting for someone to finally call him theirs Buddy has been at a sanctuary in South Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border, since he was a tiny puppy. He arrived at just 8 weeks old with his siblings, Cowboy, Roxy, and Oso. And sadly, the reason Buddy is still waiting isn't because there is anything wrong with him. It's because the humans who promised to help him failed him. About 22 months ago, a rescue asked the sanctuary to take Buddy and his three siblings into care, promising to financially support them and take them on the next transport. Then the rescue delayed. And delayed. And delayed. They never provided a dime toward their care before ultimately disappearing completely when the puppies were about five months old. Then another rescue stepped in and tagged Buddy and his siblings. Everyone thought their luck had finally changed. But just six weeks later, that rescue ghosted them too. The sanctuary begged for help. Nobody stepped up. And through absolutely no fault of their own, Buddy and his siblings grew up in a sanctuary instead of growing up in forever homes. Buddy could have been home with his family almost two years ago. Two rescues took that opportunity away from him. Now, we're stepping in to help make sure Buddy and his siblings finally get the futures they deserve. And Buddy is ready. ❤️ Meet Buddy 🐻 Buddy is a laid-back, incredibly sweet, food-motivated boy who loves his people and enjoys the simple things in life. He's calm and relaxed most of the time, especially when he's hanging out with his favorite humans. But let him out into a yard and you'll see another side of Buddy—he'll run, explore, and break out into the most adorable zoomies! 😂 He loves exploring, loves treats, and loves being around people. And Buddy is convinced that he is a lap dog. Unfortunately for Buddy, nobody has explained that he's 47 pounds. 😂 If you're sitting on the couch or down on the floor, Buddy may decide your lap looks like the perfect place for him to curl up. He doesn't care about his size—he just knows he wants to be close to his person. He's a very loyal boy who simply wants to be part of a family. 🐕 Dog Friendly Buddy loves other dogs! He would happily have a canine sibling and would love having another dog to play and hang out with. He'd also love having his own toy chest—or one he can share with his new doggy best friend. 🧸🐾 👧 Good with Children Buddy would do well with well-behaved children who know how to respectfully interact with dogs. 🐱 Cats Because of Buddy's calm and gentle demeanor, his foster believes he may do well with cats. We are happy to cat-test Buddy if a potential adopter needs that information before making a decision. 🏡 House Manners Buddy is crate-trained, mostly house-trained, and leash-trained, giving him a great foundation for transitioning into family life. With patience and consistency, he should continue to thrive as he learns what it's like to finally have a home of his own. 🚗 Adventure Buddy Buddy may be laid-back, but don't mistake that for boring! He loves car rides and would make an excellent road-trip companion. Long drives, new places, outdoor adventures—Buddy is ready to see the world! And here's something you don't hear every day: Buddy apparently loves scooter rides! 🛵🐾 How many dogs can say that? He's also a wonderful walking companion and would enjoy a family who wants to get outside and explore with him. 😂 Buddy's Very Important Water Bowl Rule Buddy has one very particular opinion about his food bowl. He likes to tip it over when it has no food in it. Why? We honestly have no idea. 😂 Maybe he's telling you it's empty. Maybe he's making sure you know he's ready for a refill. Or maybe Buddy simply believes that, as the king of the household, his food should be delivered to him on a silver platter. 👑 Whatever the reason, Buddy has standards. And those standards apparently include a full food bowl at all times! ❤️ Buddy's Perfect Home Buddy would love a family who can give him: • A big yard to explore • Regular walks and plenty of exercise • Opportunities to run and get his zoomies out • Car rides and adventures • A comfortable, air-conditioned place to relax • Plenty of cuddles • A cool, comfortable environment • Time to sunbathe and enjoy the outdoors • A canine companion to share his life with, if possible • And lots and lots of love Buddy would be perfectly happy spending the morning exploring the yard, going for a long walk, or heading off on an adventure—and then spending the afternoon stretched out somewhere cool and comfortable beside his favorite person. He's the perfect combination of calm cuddle bug and playful goofball. 🐾 Two Years Is Long Enough Buddy has spent his entire life waiting. He never got the chance to know what it feels like to wake up in his own home. He never got to have a family who chose him. He never got to know that feeling of being someone's beloved dog. But Buddy hasn't given up. He's still sweet. He's still loving. He's still loyal. And he's still waiting for someone to finally see him. Buddy deserved his forever home two years ago. Now, we're determined to help him find it. If you're looking for a sweet, loyal, laid-back companion who loves dogs, car rides, walks, treats, exploring, cuddling, and occasionally sitting in his own water bowl, Buddy might just be your guy. ❤️ He's ready for a big yard, a soft place to land, a family to love, and a lifetime of adventures. Buddy has waited long enough. It's time for this boy to finally go home. 🐾❤️ PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING: The next step to adopt is to fill out an application on our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This doggy is spayed/neutered, heart worm positive, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. I'm Jack, a stunning Potcake dog from Antigua with a striking black muzzle and ears that give me a distinguished look. I'm a large, athletic boy at 61 lbs, already neutered and ready for the right home — but I do need someone with previous dog experience who understands that I'm slow to trust at first. I'd thrive best as your one and only dog in a house with a yard, and I'm looking for adult companionship where loyalty can grow over time. Once I bond with my person, my adventurous spirit and devotion shine through. If you're an experienced dog owner ready to earn my trust, let's meet!

Meet Lucky—our sweet boy who has been patiently waiting for his forever family since Thanksgiving. ❤️ We honestly can’t understand why he’s still waiting. Lucky has blossomed in foster care and continues to show us what an amazing companion he is. He absolutely adores other dogs, whether they’re big or small, and loves having canine friends to play with. He’s made wonderful progress around cats, too! His favorite place? Right by his person. Lucky is incredibly affectionate and happiest when he’s getting pets, cuddles, and soaking up all the love you have to give. He’s comfortable wearing a harness and we’re continuing to work on his leash manners. Toys still confuse him (his foster siblings keep trying to teach him how to play with stuffies!), but give him a bone or let him get the zoomies, and you’ll see his goofy, joyful personality shine. Lucky has come such a long way. Now all he needs is someone to see what we see—a loyal, loving best friend who deserves a family of his own. ✨ Lucky is currently in foster care and is available for a meet-and-greet. Could he be the missing piece to your family? If you're interested in making LUCKY part of your family, please fill out an application on our website or send us an email with any questions. We can't wait to hear from you! If you feel that LUCKY a good fit for you/your family, please complete an application from our site, miraclesforsatosrescue.org FOR IMMEDIATE CONSIDERATION PLEASE COMPLETE AN APPLICATION! https://www.miraclesforsatosrescue.org/adopt Please then email the application back to us at miraclesforsatosrescue@gmail.com ------------------------------------- PLEASE READ: This dog is currently located in Puerto Rico. Once an adopter is approved, we transport to New York/New Jersey! We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority. Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it need for fulfillment. In addition, we cannot guarantee breed of any dog or expected adult size of puppy. Please also note that any dog that is "house trained" will still need patience in a new home, new people and new schedule. Please be ready to house train ANY dog you adopt! Thank you for understanding.

Story
Hi, I’m Leo, an 8-year-old Kuwaiti Canaan Dog, and my journey hasn’t been easy, but I’m still here, full of life and love! ❤️ Let me tell you a little about my story—it's one of survival, strength, and second chances. I was just a 5-month-old puppy when I was hit by a car, beaten, and tossed in a dumpster in Kuwait. 😢 But after months of recovery, I was sent to New Jersey in the summer of 2019. At first, everything seemed great, but as the colder weather arrived, I started acting strange and showing aggression towards strangers. I was growling, and the shelter thought I was unadoptable. They were going to put me down, but the Kuwait rescue reached out to PUP, and they rushed to save me. Turns out, I was having trouble adjusting to the bone pain that comes with cold weather—I wasn’t used to seasons! But there was more to it. I had Ehrlichiosis, a tick-borne illness that was causing pain too. After some treatment and pain management, I was back to being my happy, energetic self, ready to play and cuddle! 🐾💕 I was adopted by a family, but unfortunately, they didn’t manage my illness, and I was returned to PUP in February 2024 in bad shape. I had a fever, but after some care and attention, my Ehrlichiosis cleared up, and my arthritis was managed. Now, I’m back to my playful, loving self. On rainy or cold days, I need a little extra care, but I’m still the life of the party! 🎉 I’m a happy-go-lucky guy who loves to play, run, and be the life of the party. I adore people (I really do!), I'm also convinced that I am a lap dog. I get along great with cats, dogs, and kids. BUT, when I’m not feeling well, I may growl at strangers—this is just me telling you I need a vet check. It’s not aggression, just a way for me to communicate that something’s wrong. Here’s the deal: I need a family who understands that I require routine medical management for my tick-borne illness and occasional arthritis. When I’m feeling great, I’m the best buddy—full of love, butt scratches, cuddles, and playtime. 🐾❤️ Adopt Leo, and you’ll have a loyal, playful companion who will bring joy and love to your life. 💖 Let’s make some new memories, together! Story
Hi, I’m Biscuit—a 6-year-old Jordanian Canaan Dog, and I’ve got a story to share! 🐾 I was born in Jordan, but I ended up in the U.S. with another rescue that didn’t quite understand me. They thought I was feral and were going to have me put down—but really, I just didn’t speak English! 😅 Thankfully, PUP stepped in and saved my life and they taught me everything I need to know. Now, I’m fluent in English and ready to share my love with the right family. 🇯🇴 I’m a soft, beautiful girl—seriously, I’m the softest dog you’ll ever meet. I love being petted (can’t get enough of it, really), and I’m incredibly affectionate. But don’t let my softness fool you—I’m a guard dog at heart! I can be barrier protective, and I take my job of keeping you safe very seriously. Once I trust you, I’ll melt into a puddle of love (and maybe roll over for belly rubs). 😋❤️ I’m super smart and eager to please, so I’ll do anything to make you proud. But I do need to be introduced to new people properly—I’m a little cautious at first, but once I know you’re okay, we’re good to go! 👫 When it comes to other dogs, I only like male dogs my size or larger (and no cats for me, thank you very much 🐱❌). I’m a little much for younger kids, so I’d be happiest in a home with older kids (15+). I can be a bit of a human bulldozer when I’m excited! 😂 I’m a silly, playful, and super loyal girl who just wants to love and be loved. So, if you’re ready for an adorable, energetic bundle of joy who will adore you forever, AND have experience with Guardian breeds, I’m your girl. Let’s start our adventure together—I promise it’ll be full of laughs, cuddles, and lots of love! 🐕💖
