** Current Location: in a local shelter in South Korea** Rescue Story : Meet Hyonie👋 the sweetest gentlest soul! Hyonie was found in a park in South Korea at four months old in March 2022 and taken to a high-risk shelter alongside her two sisters. Luckily, they were saved right before euthanasia by the rescue team. While one of her sisters is living with a foster family, Hyonie is still in the crowded shelter, awaiting her forever family. Personality: Shy, Cuddler, Smart Hyonie is somewhat shy around strangers and barks a little. However, she is surprisingly a BIG cuddler to people, which means that all she needs is a little bit of time to open up in the beginning. If you are searching for a cuddly pup, she would be a great fit! She learns things quickly as she is a food-driven smart cookie. You will definitely find training her a part of the joyful journey with her! With Cats : Not tested With Dogs : Gets along well with other dogs. She’s a submissive and gentle type of dog. With Adults/Kids : Good with adults / Unknown for kids Shedding : 5-6 Food Allergies : No. Walking Manner : in training and improving! Housetrained : Hyonie knows how to use pee-pads even though she lives in the shelter. She may go potty indoors (pads) and outdoors both when adopted. Bathing/Brushing : Good Bark or Howl : Barks a little bit toward strangers Likes & Dislikes : She likes going for walks, playing with toys, and chewing stuff. / She doesn’t like being kept in confined spaces. Health : She has had two of her toes removed due to blocked circulation of blood caused by blankets tangled around her toes. She's been fully recovered and now fine walking and jumping!

Story

Some people wear their hearts of their sleeves, our MAX wears his heart on his forehead! How cute is this boy?! His story: MAX is a disabled Canaan dog from Jordan. MAX was also rescued from there, after having suffered abuse which caused his spinal injury and resulting back end paralysis. First, he was shot and left for dead, then a rescue that was supposed to help him actually mistreated him, causing him to suffer even more. Then a real rescuer stepped in, truly saving his life, and now he is here looking for his forever home. His stats: MAX is 5-6 years old and weighs about 45lbs. We have already had him to our vet and he got a clean bill of health. He is also neutered and now fully vetted. His future home: MAX can live with dogs 30+lbs. and kids 8+ years old. Cats unknown. We are seeking an adopter with handicapped dog experience and a fenced back yard preferably on Long Island.
