Story
Kelsy has been in a foster home while she awaits her new family! She has been getting along well with the home's other dogs, cats and children and would love a doggy play mate in her new home. She is big on cuddles and loves to snuggle up any chance she gets. Kelsy despises being alone, and likes to think of herself as your shadow.. although endearing, she needs some confidence building on being alone. This girl has done great with potty training and a consistent routine will get her accident free in no time!If you are looking to adopt, please fill out the application online. She is available to meet by appointment only.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 10.2 Age: 0yrs 5mths 0wks

Story
Sweet Yuki arrived in our care after her owner passed away. She had gotten away from her caregiver and was straying for a couple weeks before finally getting caught and brought to safety.Yuki is very food driven, she is not suited for young children due to this. She is apparently good with dogs and cats, however we have not tested. If interested, please submit an application: https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: Brindle Weight: 40 Age: 1yrs 3mths 0wks

Story
Meet Zuri! This sweet and spirited young Cane Corso is looking for her forever home! While she may be a bit nervous around strangers, especially men, she quickly warms up once she feels comfortable and safe. With a little patience and understanding, she will be your loyal and loving companion.Zuri is generally great on walks with her people! She likes other dogs, and could go to a home with another friendly canine with proper introductions. She does have some prey-drive towards smaller critters, so is not suitable for a home with cats or other small animals. Zuri can get over-excited in busier areas, and appreciates a more quiet landscape to explore on-leash with her family. Zuri doesn't have high exercise requirements, and is a bit of a couch potato! She is best suited to a slower household, with a more predictable routine. Once Zuri is settled in to a home, she would love nothing more than to nap the day away. She is pretty independent, and has shown that she can be alone in the home without issue. Zuri could be okay spending her afternoons at home while you're at work. This young girl has a lot of potential and will thrive in a patient, loving home where she can build trust and confidence. Zuri is highly food-motivated, which makes training a breeze. If you're looking for a sweet and playful companion who will quickly become your most loyal friend, Zuri might just be the perfect fit! Please apply online if interested in adopting sweet Zuri. She has not been shown much love in her life up until now and is looking for her happy future. Please follow these steps if interested in adoption!1. View the animal's profile at adopt.spca.bc.ca 2. Story
Meet Penny,Penny is a 12 week old Cane Corso. As a large breed, she'll need space to grow and thrive, so a home with room for a bigger dog is ideal. Experience with training is also recommended as Cane Corsos are strong, intelligent and eager to learn. She's incredibly social and loves spending time with staff and volunteers, always ready for a play session with her toys or her brother. She's also a huge cuddler, enjoying cozy beds and the comfort of falling asleep in staff's laps. This playful, affectionate pup will make a loyal companion with the right environment and guidance.Note: As with all puppies, we recommend puppy-proofing your home and preparing for the commitment of training, exercise, and socialization. The more time and effort you put into training now will pay off tenfold when they grow into a giant slobbery member of your family. Remember, adoption is a big decision and lifetime commitment to the dog - these pups will grow into big, strong dogs and will need a family that's ready for the adventure! These pups are not yet spayed or neutered (S/N). Their appointments for S/N's will be in the coming weeks. In the meantime, they are eligible to go into homes as "foster-to-adopts" and can be fully adopted after their S/N.Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Penny's person? Apply today!TIP: We strongly suggest all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting. Some animals may not be available for public viewing due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors. Due to the high number of applications, we will only be contacting select individuals to further review their interest. If you do not hear back from us, it is possible that this animal has already found a forever home. You can always call or email to inquire about your application further and our staff will do our best to get back to you when time allows. Animals cannot be held for potential adopters for more than 24 hours without a legitimate reason Primary Color: Fawn Weight: 12.4 Age: 0yrs 3mths 0wks
