Story
Bert is a middle-aged Cane Corso with a gentle, affectionate nature and a strong love for human attention. Despite his size and strength, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a total softie who is happiest when he can be close to his people, preferably melting directly into your lap. He is something of a ladies' man and absolutely loves being surrounded by and doted on by women. Bert thrives on affection, attention, and, of course, treats, which he enthusiastically adores. As a Cane Corso, Bert is a powerful and intelligent dog who will do best with a confident, experienced handler. He is a wonderful companion and will benefit from clear structure, guidance, and consistency in his home. Bert is looking for a household where he can be the only pet and would be most comfortable in a home with teens or older. A calmer environment without small children will help him continue to thrive. Schedule an appointment to meet Bert at yoloshelter.org/dogs or email adopt@yoloshelter.org February 17, 2026, 5:41 pm

Story
She is a great family dog very protective of my kids and wife and listens very well without any formal training. She has eaten human food from kids throwing it on ground so she is a bit of a “begger” she has a droopy eyelid so sometimes it irritates her eye but the vet said it was just cosmetic and could be fixed but would be roughly $1200. I have to get rid of her because she fights with my other dog in close proximity to my children. She seems territorial of the bed and food with the other dog. Recommend to a home with no other animals.

Story
Koda is a loving dog with a gentle heart and a devoted soul. She’s a sweet, loyal, and shy girl who may take a little time to feel comfortable in new places. However, once she warms up, her true personality shines. When Koda trusts you, she becomes an incredibly loving companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Despite her impressive size, Koda is fully convinced she’s a lap dog. She loves to drape herself across her favorite person for comfort and affection, and she’ll happily follow you from room to room like a quiet little shadow in disguise. Her calm presence and deep loyalty make her truly special. Because Koda can be nervous in unfamiliar situations, she’s looking for a patient, understanding home. We recommend that her new family has prior dog ownership experience to help her transition with confidence. Due to her shy nature, any children in the home are required to be age 10 or older. Koda doesn’t enjoy sharing her prized possessions with other dogs and may prefer to be the only dog in the home, though she could potentially do well with another dog if given a very slow and thoughtful introduction. She also enjoys chasing small animals, so a cat-free home is required. Koda is searching for a forever family where she can feel safe, loved, and understood. In return, she’ll offer unwavering loyalty and endless affection to the people lucky enough to call her their own!Adoption Price: $200

Story
Athena is an energetic girl who loves people and toys. She loves to play ball and tug of war. She needs tough toys as she tends to eat them if they fall apart. Her favorites are tough rubber balls and ropes. Athena also likes to sleep near people and loves belly rubs. Athena needs space to run and lots of love and attention. She can sit and shake for treats (with both paws). She does tend to drool a bit if she is overstimulated or hungry and she will slosh water when she drinks because she likes to stick her face in it! She does tend to be a bit food aggressive so she will growl if people/pets are near her food bowl but she can eat with another dog as long as they aren't right next to her or trying to eat out of her bowl. Athena was raised with lots of people, 5 kids, 4 cats, and another dog around. She will chase cats if they run but she's never hurt one. She even played with one of our more feisty cats. We love Athena but she deserves a better life than we can currently provide.

Story
We got Cooper in July of 2025 from a co-worker. He is a 1 year old Cane Corso/Bulldog mix. From the day we brought him home until recently he has been living with our other older dog, multiple young kids, and adults everyday without any problems. The kids play around him, feed him treats, and he behaves great around them. He really is a great family dog. Our reason for rehoming him is he recently bit our other dog during feeding time and they are continuing to not get along and must be separated. So we are thinking Cooper will do best in a single dog family. He is doggie-door trained, walks well on a leash, understands sit & lay down, stay commands. He really is a lover and loves all the belly rubs and head scratches. Make this handsome boy part of your family!
