Meet Austin, a lovable goofball with a huge personality, an even bigger appetite, and a heart just as big! One of Austin's littermates had DNA done and the results show Cane Corso, Neapolitan Mastiff and Husky! We think he and his ears for days are 100% CUTE!! Austin absolutely loves spending time with other dogs and gets along great with pups of all sizes. Whether it's zoomies in the yard, wrestling with friends, or simply hanging out with the pack, Austin is happiest with canine companions nearby. When playtime is over, he's all about cuddling on the couch with his people, and if the TV is on, don't be surprised if he watches along with you! If Austin had one true love, it would be food. He has never met a snack he didn't like! Meals disappear in record time, so he enjoys eating from a treat-dispensing toy that turns dinner into a fun enrichment game. He loves the challenge just as much as the food itself! Because he's convinced everyone else's dinner should belong to him too, he currently eats separately from the other dogs. We're also helping him learn that kitchen counters are off-limits. He thinks counter surfing is a sport when food is involved! Austin is a smart, curious puppy who thrives with enrichment. He happily entertains himself with durable chew toys and antlers, and because he's always given appropriate things to chew, he hasn't shown destructive puppy behavior in his foster home. However stuffed toys don't always survive his play, but he loves to nibble them and carry them around. For such a young puppy, Austin is impressively well-behaved. He's wicked smart, settles beautifully in the car (even on long rides), and loves tagging along on adventures. He's also a self-proclaimed fan of Chick-fil-A, so don't miss his video! Austin is doing wonderfully with potty training. He already understands that outside is for potty time and will even use a pee pad if he can get to one. Like most young puppies, he's still learning how to tell his people he needs to go and can't hold it for very long during the day yet. Frequent potty breaks set him up for success, and he's already accident-free overnight about 95% of the time. There is a cat in his foster home and he has shown mild curiosity in a playful manner, zero aggression. When the cat tells him no, he happily walks away and doesn't push it! Austin and his littermates are expected to grow into XL adults, so we're looking for a family ready to welcome a giant-breed companion. If you're searching for a social, affectionate, incredibly fun puppy who will keep you laughing every day, Austin just might be your perfect match. He will thrive with an adopter who has experience with large or giant-breed dogs and is committed to training while he is still a puppy and eager to learn. Important Adoption Note: Because Austin is expected to grow into a very large adult dog, we are only accepting applications from current homeowners for him. This is not a standard requirement for our rescue, and renters are absolutely welcome to apply for our other dogs. For this litter specifically, we want to avoid potential issues with breed/weight restrictions or lease limitations as they grow. The adoption donation is $325 and will include neuter, microchip and age-appropriate vaccines.
