Jessie is a big beautiful girl that has no idea where her body is. She is sweet and clumsy. She is a good protector of her person, but loves people in general. She has a menacing bark and can easily knock a person over if she is excited. Jessie is very stubborn and she can be like trying to move a mountain. She is very food motivated though. She is an alpha personality and wants to play with other dogs, but often overpowers them.

Cherry is an exceptionally sweet, gentle dog who spent a week with her foster family and proved to be an absolute gem. She is deeply people-oriented, happily following her person from room to room and settling nearby. Cherry enjoys slow, thoughtful introductions and quickly becomes a loyal friend once she feels safe. She is fully potty trained, well-mannered, non-reactive on walks, and quiet in the home—sleeping through the night on her dog bed and behaving perfectly when left uncrated. Cherry loves outdoor time, sunbathing, slow-play with her tennis ball, and soaking up belly rubs. Though she has noticeable hip dysplasia and is heartworm positive, she still enjoys gentle walks and light play. She rides calmly in the car, doesn’t beg for food, and shows zero resource guarding. Cherry may alert to unfamiliar noises but settles quickly. With her happy disposition and tender nature, Cherry will be a wonderful companion for a patient, loving adopter. Cherry has beaten every odd against her. She was a stray with a prolapsed uterus at Sumter County Animal Services. SCAS did surgery for the uterus and spayed her. Her gentle giant demeanor makes her an immediate favorite around the Humane Society of Sumter County and sue to be your next best friend. Cherry is a special dog with special needs who needs a special home. Submit an adoption application to schedule a meet and greet with Cherry.

River has so much love to give. She is a very sweet girl and is a very loyal dog. She loves to play fetch and go for walks. She loves to be outside but loves for her person to be out there with her. She will thrive best as an only dog. She does not seem to like to share attention. I would love to keep her but I have other dogs and it’s just not working out for us. She is a great dog just not a good fit for our home. She loves to cuddle and she loves bones. Give her a bed and a bone and she is in doggie heaven. She is 1y 4 months old she was born Nov 24. She loves treats she gets them every night at bedtime. She is going to be someone’s best friend she is a GREAT dog. She has so much love to give. She is not good with little dogs and that is why I can’t keep her. She does get along with my hound they are best friends so I think she would be ok in a home with another dog that is not little. I have never had her around a cat so I’m unsure how that would work. She loves people!

Story
Noah has been in our little family for a little over a year now, almost 2 years total. He has been a happy, energetic, and sweet boy for every minute of it. We are very heartbroken to have to give him up but recently we had a bad fight with him and our other older rottweiler. Since then they have not been able to see one another without starting a fight. We want what is best for them both and being in this environment is extremely stressful for everyone involved. We know that Noah will fit in like a glove with a loving family willing to put up with some of his shenanigans. We would prefer he remain the lone dog in the house as he is a "velcro" dog and loves to be the one and only for his owner.
