(when grown) -
Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Meet Apollo, the charismatic 1-year-old Cane Corso Mastiff who is ready to fill your life with laughter, love, and loyalty. At 108.9 pounds, this big guy has a heart to match his size, and he's on a mission to prove that he's the best lap dog in town. Apollo is a unique character, and we adore him, but it's important to acknowledge that his breed isn't for everyone. He may be a handful at times, displaying stubbornness and an overenthusiastic jump here and there. But don't be fooled – Apollo is still very much a giant-hearted puppy, eager to learn and grow. For Apollo, we're seeking a special someone with extensive experience in handling large Guardian breeds, and preferably, someone well-versed in the world of Cane Corso Mastiffs. Apollo craves continued guidance and mental stimulation to help him reach his full potential. This gentle giant is incredibly sweet to those he holds dear, but it's in his nature to be a guardian. He takes his duty seriously, watching over his loved ones and approaching strangers with a touch of skepticism. His intelligence is striking, a testament to the time invested in his training.  Although we believe he'll thrive best as the only dog in the household, due to his protective nature and potential jealousy of other dogs, we might consider a female dog if the owners are experienced with slow, careful introductions. Apollo knows a few tricks, responding to "sit," "shake," and "down" with ease. He's also well-behaved on a leash, except when he gets overly playful – then you can expect a game of tug. This boy has his lazy moments, but he's bursting with energy, ready for adventures and endless playtime. Apollo is your go-to companion for walks, basic agility training, car rides, and lively games of fetch or frisbee. And let's not forget his favorite pastime – cuddling with his person. He'll stick by your side, alert and protective, always watching over you. In the house, Apollo is nearly house and crate trained, although the occasional accident may happen. Bribe him with some hot dogs, and he'll willingly settle in his crate. His adaptability is admirable. If you believe you have what it takes to provide Apollo with the loving home he deserves, don't hesitate to apply today. His minimum adoption fee is $145, with an additional $15 fee for rabies registration if you're a resident of McLean County. Apollo is more than just a pet; he's a loyal companion who's eager to fill your life with joy and adventure. Apply now and let Apollo's boundless charisma and charm become a cherished part of your life. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
