Story
Ruby is almost 4 years old, born on 9/11/20. We got her as a puppy when we lived in a rural setting & we both worked from home. She did well there with plenty of space, lots of attention from us & low activity from neighbors. She is great with our kids - very affectionate, playful and snuggly. Ruby has always been smart & protective in nature to both our property and family members. Two years ago we moved to a very active residential neighborhood with a small fenced yard, neighbors close by & lots of kids running around playing. She has never hurt another animal or person, but she has intimidated people who walked on to our yard without us near by to introduce them. If she sees that we are fine with someone she is fine, but she has developed some anxiety & it makes us sad for her knowing that she would be better suited for a less busy neighborhood. She's an alpha but gets along w/other dogs, as long as they let her be the alpha. A dog of aggressive nature would not be a good match.
