Story
- Loves to be busy and connect with people through play and other activities; enjoys toys and being silly - Knows sit and is treat motivated; would benefit from continued work on his manners since he can sometimes be a bouncy teenager and forget to be polite - Does best with a harness on walks - Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for him; looking for a more mature home where everyone is old enough to enjoy his energy - Tends to be a linebacker-type player with other dogs; will likely do best with a select group of rough-and-tumble dog friends with a similar play style and may enjoy a compatible dog friend in his new home (dog intro required) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you're interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org.All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: Silver Weight: 89 Age: 1yrs 1mths 4wks

To schedule a time to meet her, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.---- A lover through and through; enjoys people, toys, and activity and likes to be at the center of whatever's going on - Very easygoing and loves to follow her foster family around; they say she especially likes to help with gardening and has been known to steal their gardening gloves - Loves to play and can sometimes forget her mouth manners a little when she gets wound up, but her foster family said she does great if they have a toy handy to put in her mouth - Enjoys her Kong with peanut butter - Knows sit and is treat-motivated- Does best with a harness on walks - Has been fully potty trained in her foster home; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new routine - Has been living with kids in her foster home and has done well with them and with other kids she has met - Has done well with other dogs and may enjoy a dog friend in her new home- Has been doing well with the cats in her foster home - wants to be friends and gives them space - Has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia (more info at ARL) All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. 🐾 Bella – 4.5 Year Old Cane Corso Beauty 🐾 Meet Bella, a stunning 4.5 year old Cane Corso girl who is looking for her second chance at forever. Bella was originally adopted from our rescue as a puppy, but heartbreakingly, her owner recently passed away. Now she’s searching for the next chapter of her life. Could that be with you? Bella is everything you love about the breed. She is loyal, loving, and deeply devoted to her people. She has a playful side and enjoys spending time outside, but she’s just as happy being close to you soaking up attention. She truly bonds with her humans and will be a wonderful companion. She does great with other dogs in her foster home and has been good with kids and cats. Bella is well-rounded and has a sweet, gentle nature, especially for a dog her size. Because of her breed and size, Bella will need an experienced, breed-knowledgeable owner who understands the needs of a Cane Corso and can provide structure, leadership, and love. She will thrive in a home that appreciates her loyalty and continues to guide her. Bella is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines and preventions. She has already known love once. Let’s make sure she finds it again. ❤️ $200 Local Adoption Fee (in Texas) $450 Out of State (includes transport to your area) Bella does take a daily medication to help manage some arthritis, and she will come with a one-month supply to get you started. She’s doing great with it and continues to enjoy life to the fullest. #godsdogsrescue #canecorso #adoptdontshop #rescuedog #sanantoniodogs #bigdoglove #secondchance #corsolove #adoptabella

Meet Bear! 🐾 Bear is a lovable, sweet-natured boy who is ready to find his forever home. He has a big heart and an even bigger love for playtime—especially when toys and bones are involved! Bear is highly treat-motivated, which makes him not only fun but also easy to work with and eager to please. He’s already potty trained and has great home manners, making him a wonderful companion for a smooth transition into a new family. He is up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped for his safety. Bear is looking for a home where he can be loved, included, and given plenty of playtime, treats, and affection. In return, he’ll be a loyal, affectionate companion who will brighten every day. Story
Welcome to rescue Lucky Charms!  This is Stone!  Muddy Paws took in the puppies and have been bottle feeding them since they were only 4 days old.  The previous owner wouldn't give up the mama, but didn't want the puppies.  They are all doing well in their foster homes.  We'll share updates and more information about each puppy as we learn more about them!   The suggested adoption donation for each pup in the Lucky Charms litter is $465, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees.   Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note:  We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc.   If the dog or cat you adopt is older than 6 months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital in Omaha, at no cost to you.  Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost.  If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice.  If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $100 for dogs and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses.  [Muddy Paws can also suggest a vet with a reduced cost for alters.]  All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age.  All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized.  Thank you in advance for your compliance. ##2672413##
