Story
Buffalo was returned at no fault of his own and is searching for a loving home to live out his senior years. He is a cane corso and weighs 117 pounds. Fully housebroken with zero accidents in his foster home and does well in the crate but doesn’t need it. He is a gentle giant and can be timid at first but not aggressive at all, just shy. Once he warms up he is so loving and sweet! Good with all, dogs, cats, and kids. His only quirk so far in his foster home is being afraid of the hard floors so we’ve been using yoga mats, and he doesn’t like stairs. At his age and size his hips are likely a bit sore so a home with no/minimal steps is ideal. Pictures don’t do him justice he is such a big beautiful boy! July 27, 2026, 1:39 pm

Story
🐾 Fester – Cane Corso • Special Adoption Requirements Status: In training Location: Cincinnati, Ohio Breed: Cane Corso mix Age: Adult Adoption Fee: Includes required pre-adoption training sessions ⸻ About Fester Fester came to Cleo’s Legacy from a severely overcrowded shelter after surviving an extremely traumatic situation — including being shot. Despite everything he has endured, he is showing us every day that he wants to trust again. Because of his past, Fester is understandably fearful of men. His response to this fear is typically barking or growling, which are defensive behaviors and not uncommon for guardian breeds who have experienced trauma. He is currently in the very early stages of decompression and professional training, and we are still learning more about his full personality. At this time, we do not know how he is with cats. ⸻ What Fester Needs in an Adopter Because of his background and breed traits, Fester requires an adopter who is: • Experienced with large guardian breeds (Cane Corso, Mastiff-type breeds, etc.) • Willing to work closely with our trainer prior to adoption • Committed to ongoing structure, routine, and positive-reinforcement training • Patient, emotionally steady, and ready to help him heal at his pace His training is currently located in Cincinnati, Ohio, and in-person sessions with his trainer are required before adoption can be finalized. ⸻ About the Cane Corso Breed Cane Corsos are powerful, intelligent, and deeply sensitive guardian dogs. They thrive with adopters who understand: • Slow, thoughtful introductions and predictable structure • How to build trust with a fearful guardian breed • That their large, confident appearance often masks big emotions, especially after trauma • They bond intensely to their people and rely heavily on routine, consistency, and handler confidence • They require calm, balanced leadership — never force or intimidation • Early and continued training is essential for their long-term success When matched with the right person, Corsos can be unbelievably loyal, stable, loving, and devoted companions. ⸻ Why Fester Is Worth It Fester has survived more than any dog should, yet he is still trying. The right adopter will be someone who sees the dog behind the fear — a dog who wants stability, love, and guidance. If you’re someone who respects the breed, values training, and is ready to help a truly deserving dog heal, Fester could become one of the most meaningful companions you’ll ever have.

Story
Once upon a time, on a dead-end road (not the start of a horror movie, I promise), Bob and his five siblings were discovered, abandoned but fabulous. Think of him as a limited-edition rescue baby with a *bonus* tragic backstory that`s more of a comedy special now. At first, Bob might seem a tad shy—he`s conducting an extensive background check on you. The questioning could take a while, especially about your snack preferences. But once he decides you`re “approved,” prepare yourself: you’re going to have a tiny, snuggly stand-up comedian on your hands! This little guy has opinions on everything: dinner choices, the proper way to toss a toy, and why you’re clearly not petting him with both hands. (Seriously, two hands, please. He’s not asking for much here.)Bob is on the hunt for a forever home where he can retire from survival mode and embrace couch potato life. If you`ve got a comfy spot, a sweet heart, and room for one adorable goofball (who doubles as a furry life coach), then Bob is ready to unpack his emotional baggage—on your lap, naturally! He’s just a package of warmth, humor, and the occasional unsolicited life advice. Adopt Bob, and let the cuddly chaos begin!

Story
Meet Sissy: professional couch potato, snack enthusiast, and the CEO of Napping (Cuddling Division). Once upon a time, this little diva and her five siblings were discovered on a dead-end road, but don’t worry—she’s not looking for a map, just a comfy home. Despite her rocky start, Sissy has emerged as a beacon of hope, love, and possibly the world’s next great food critic (especially when it comes to pizza crust). Now, don’t expect Sissy to burst in like a furry tornado claiming her territory. No, no. Sissy’s more of a “let me quietly assess the situation from my cozy corner” kind of gal. If you see her side-eyeing you like you might be a rogue vacuum, don’t take it personally—it’s a coping mechanism! But once she feels safe, her personality explodes like confetti at a surprise party. Get ready for a charming chatty sidekick who believes her tiny opinions must be heard on every household matter, from dinner choices to whether or not you deserve a treat. This precious girl is on the lookout for a loving forever home where she can take her sweet time settling in (preferably with a few pizza crusts thrown in for good measure). In exchange, you’ll get a bundle of joy that will transform your home into a laughter-filled haven. Plus, Sissy comes with a secret talent for emotional support comedy. Who doesn’t want a little sidekick whispering hilarious commentary while you try to figure out whether to binge-watch another season of your favorite show or do something productive? If you have a cozy spot, a heart full of love, and the ability to pretend you don’t hear her negotiating snack trades, Sissy is ready to become your loyal shadow and your best friend for life. Don`t miss your chance to adopt this furry gem—she’s ready to rule your heart (and couch)!

Story
Nefertiti’s story started on a dead-end road with her five siblings, abandoned and unsure what would happen next—which is heartbreaking, yes, but don’t worry: she has since chosen “resilient queen with excellent comedic timing” as her personal brand. This little girl has been through a rough beginning, and she’s handling it with the grace of royalty and the dramatic flair of someone who absolutely deserves her own tiny crown. At first, Nefertiti may be a little shy, and honestly, who can blame her? She’s not being difficult—she’s just making sure your vibes are immaculate and your snack policy is strong. Give her a little patience, a soft voice, and some time to feel safe, and you’ll get to meet the real Nefertiti: a snuggly, silly, opinionated little comedian who has thoughts on dinner, toy technique, and why petting her with only one hand is clearly a violation of household policy.Nefertiti is looking for a forever home that understands shy hearts sometimes need a minute before they start doing full-time comedy. Once she feels secure, she’s ready to trade survival mode for couch mode, curl up with her people, and become the tiny furry life coach you never knew you needed. If you have a cozy spot, a patient heart, and room for one brave little goofball with queen-level charm, Nefertiti is ready to unpack her emotional baggage—preferably on your lap, where she can supervise your life choices up close.

Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! NOT!! I am a snuggle bug looking for tummy scratches....I willl MELT for one!! Here is what one of our amazing fosters have to say about Dakota...."Super freaking sweet, loves loves belly rubs, is very strong when you walk him but listens well. VERY treat motivated and knows sit down paw and i just taught him roll over yesterday but its a work in progress 😝. Super playful, he will pounce around you and then roll over for belly rubs and absolutely melts for the belly rubs and kisses" I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Now, before you go all "Lion King" on me, just know that I will be your bestest buddy forever!! I am two VERY loyal breeds and once I know you are my family, you will have my unending love :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Shrek is a great name for me! I am kind of a sweet OGRE looking boy with a loving heart and kind of beat up body. It is HARD to live on the streets! I had an old injury so limping was my norm. It was discovered that my back leg had been broken and healed very wonky. Now my bad leg is gone and I am pain free! NOW, I am a healthy TRIPOD boy looking for just the right family...one who will care for me for all my days! I deserve it and you deserve this cute OGRE in your life too!
