Story
Location: St Paul Park, MN I’m Petrie! It’s been said that I am a Cane Corso x Poodle mix but I have many Labrador traits as well. I am a bit smaller compared to my brother but will be a big adult, my paws are impressive and I have long legs. I really love to be near the person I am bonded to, and can be quite anxious if I’m gated or in a pen away from them; I will escape just to be with them! I do wonderfully in my crate though and feel nice and safe when it’s time to go in. I love to play hard and when it’s time to rest I give the best snuggles. I am eager to please, highly intelligent, and picking up training quickly. I know to go potty outside, to sit nicely, and have been practicing walking on the leash a lot. I will need a lot of exercise! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Location: Lino Lakes, MN I’m Cera, but my foster family has been calling me “Chunk.” I am on the bigger side compared to my brother. We’ve been told that I am a Cane Corso x Poodle mix but I have many Labrador traits as well! I will be a large adult dog and am a bit more stocky, with long legs and impressive paws. I can be a little lazy but still require a lot of exercise. I play hard and snuggle harder. I am eager to please, highly intelligent, and picking up training quickly. Story
Location: Cleveland, MN Hi, I’m Ducky! I’m still just a puppy so I like to play really hard for about 45 mins and then take 2 hour naps. I love my foster humans and always want to be next to them (I think my humans think I’m just trying to trip them). My humans' cousins (ages 5 & 8) came to meet me and I did so good with them! There is another dog in my house (85# dog) and I like to think I am as big as he is. I get a bit nervous sometimes but it doesn’t stop me from trying to play. I have been with my foster family for a short while and have had very few accidents in the house; they say I’m catching on so fast! I like my crate, but I don’t like the door shut quite yet. So, I get a little noisey for a bit when it gets shut but hey, give me a break.. I have had a short-time to practice! I’d much rather sleep next to my humans; dad calls me a pillow princess but what can I say, it’s cozy! I eat well but I’m not very treat motivated. I love playing with all my toys and snuggling on the couch. Check back on me as I grow - I bet I do even more cool stuff! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Lonsdale, MN Tree Star is a very sweet puppy. He gets along well with the other dogs, cats, and kids in the home. He is not yet potty trained. He is working on kennel training and doing pretty well during the day, but showing anxiety at night time. At this I would say he would do best in a house with someone that works from home at least a few days a week. He's not food aggressive at all. He's pretty mellow as far as puppy energy goes. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Welcome Jacks to CCPAL Rescue. Jacks is an 11-month-old Cane Corso/Australian Heeler. He is very affectionate, knows sit, loves water and can open a fence latch. He is a smart boy. He really is attentive and has had a wonderful foster before entering the shelter. He is wonderful at sitting when you ask him to sit. A carabiner is adequate to block him from flipping the latch of the gate open. This is what we use to secure the gate of his kennel. We don’t think he is the type that wants to run away. He is smart and bored in his kennel is all. He is a great dog and we think he would be a great hiker, walker and companion dog for an outdoor enthusiast. He loves all people and doesn’t seem at all bothered by strangers. He is friendly to everyone. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 and older due to his size. He weighs about 60 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He has a beautiful blocky head and with the harness on he was relatively easy to walk. We are looking for a moderately active family for this dog. We think he is very handsome and is going to appeal to men because of his beautiful head and athletic build. He is neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  London is a lovely gentle giant with an even bigger heart. At 102 pounds, she is all about love, comfort, and keeping watch over her home. She spends her days lounging on a big dog bed, soaking up time outside in the yard, and proudly standing guard at the fence. London absolutely adores her people, happily flopping over for belly rubs and nudging your hand for more scratches. She is social, affectionate, and easy to love. London has done well with other dog-friendly dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion in her future home, but she also has plenty of love to give as the only dog as long as her people are home often. She is fully potty trained (outside only) and crates beautifully with no issues and she also knows commands like come, stay, crate/kennel, and outside. She loves bully sticks and other chews, which are some of her favorite ways to relax. London does like to bark at passing cars, but she is otherwise a sweet, steady girl who has no concerning reaction to people or other dogs. She recently did very well at the vet, and although she was muzzled for her exam due to hip discomfort, she handled it beautifully without any fuss. Because London has chronic hip dysplasia and significant joint issues, she will need lifelong pain management to keep her comfortable. She will also need a home with a fenced grass yard, since hard surfaces and long walks on cement are not ideal for her mobility. Even with those needs, London is a happy, loving, social dog who still has so much joy to give. London is the kind of dog who will fill your home with love, loyalty, and a calm, comforting presence. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
