Tig would do best in a home with teenage kids due to his high prey drive; small kids running around the house he will chase, corner, and lunge towards them. He is very loving with his family and is happy to get in your lap. but weary of strangers; slow introductions to new people are best. His favorite treat is ice cubes. He is crate trained, potty trained, and has completed basic obedience. He would benefit from additional training and people who have the time to spend on training. He knows sit, stay, and down, and walks well on leash with a prong collar; he has a high prey drive and will bolt on leash without it. He is very vocal and will whack you with a paw when he wants attention or wants to go potty.

Medusa, AKA Dusa, will do the opposite of turning you to stone -- she’ll melt your heart! She’s a 2-year-old, 60-pound Cane Corso mix who spent a few months in a loving foster home before coming to our shelter. This is what her fosters learned about her!Dusa can be a little anxious around new people at first, but is an incredibly sweet and affectionate girl. Once she spends a little time with you and builds trust, her warm and loving personality comes out!She lived happily with both dogs and cats in her foster home. She gets along great with dogs of all sizes and with relaxed, confident cats. However, skittish cats excite her a bit too much, and she tends to chase them. She does wonderfully with children ages 8 and up, and is curious and cautious around younger kids.Dusa is so loving, happily sits for treats, and responds well to `leave it.` She`s also making great progress on her crate and potty training, and just needs a little extra training before she`s a pro.Medusa is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines. You can visit her at the shelter Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.

Welcome Jacks to CCPAL Rescue. Jacks is an 11-month-old Cane Corso/Australian Heeler. He is very affectionate, knows sit, loves water and can open a fence latch. He is a smart boy. He really is attentive and has had a wonderful foster before entering the shelter. He is wonderful at sitting when you ask him to sit. A carabiner is adequate to block him from flipping the latch of the gate open. This is what we use to secure the gate of his kennel. We don’t think he is the type that wants to run away. He is smart and bored in his kennel is all. He is a great dog and we think he would be a great hiker, walker and companion dog for an outdoor enthusiast. He loves all people and doesn’t seem at all bothered by strangers. He is friendly to everyone. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 and older due to his size. He weighs about 60 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He has a beautiful blocky head and with the harness on he was relatively easy to walk. We are looking for a moderately active family for this dog. We think he is very handsome and is going to appeal to men because of his beautiful head and athletic build. He is neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. .
