Meet Enzo! Enzo is a large, kind-hearted dog with a mellow and sweet nature that makes her a joy to be around. She has experience living with men, women, and older children. Above all, Enzo loves attention and affection. She is happiest when she’s near her people, soaking up love and giving it right back. With a caring and attentive owner, Enzo will make a devoted and gentle companion. Enzo has also shared her space with large dogs, cats, and farm animals. While she generally coexists well, she does have a tendency to chase chickens, so supervision is recommended in those settings. One of her favorite activities is playing with other dogs—she truly thrives on canine companionship and social interaction. She already knows a few fun and useful commands, including “sit,” “high five,” and “spin"! She is also house trained and will bark to let you know when she needs to go out. Enzo will benefit from continued guidance, particularly with leash training, to help her become more confident and well-mannered on walks. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Location: St Paul Park, MN I’m Petrie! It’s been said that I am a Cane Corso x Poodle mix but I have many Labrador traits as well. I am a bit smaller compared to my brother but will be a big adult, my paws are impressive and I have long legs. I really love to be near the person I am bonded to, and can be quite anxious if I’m gated or in a pen away from them; I will escape just to be with them! I do wonderfully in my crate though and feel nice and safe when it’s time to go in. I love to play hard and when it’s time to rest I give the best snuggles. I am eager to please, highly intelligent, and picking up training quickly. I know to go potty outside, to sit nicely, and have been practicing walking on the leash a lot. Location: Cleveland, MN Hi, I’m Ducky! I’m still just a puppy so I like to play really hard for about 45 mins and then take 2 hour naps. I love my foster humans and always want to be next to them (I think my humans think I’m just trying to trip them). My humans' cousins (ages 5 & 8) came to meet me and I did so good with them! There is another dog in my house (85# dog) and I like to think I am as big as he is. I get a bit nervous sometimes but it doesn’t stop me from trying to play. I have been with my foster family for a short while and have had very few accidents in the house; they say I’m catching on so fast! I like my crate, but I don’t like the door shut quite yet. So, I get a little noisey for a bit when it gets shut but hey, give me a break.. I have had a short-time to practice! I’d much rather sleep next to my humans; dad calls me a pillow princess but what can I say, it’s cozy! I eat well but I’m not very treat motivated. I love playing with all my toys and snuggling on the couch. Location: Lino Lakes, MN Cera (a.k.a. "Chunk") is so cuddly, extremely loyal, and very loveable. He is a Cane Corso/poodle mix (DNA test pending) with long legs, bigs, and a very chill but more dominant personality. He will need a moderate amount of exercise, and very consistent training from a confident, experienced owner. He loves his family and wants to be near them at all times. He is wonderful at cuddling his foster kids and putting them to bed at night. He loves meeting new people and kids and does well with other dogs, but would probably do best with older kids and being the only dog in the home. He has met his foster’s cat and has been respectful of boundaries, but has a lot more interest in being friends than the cat does. Location: Lonsdale, MN Tree Star is a very sweet puppy. He gets along well with the other dogs, cats, and kids in the home. He is not yet potty trained. He is working on kennel training and doing pretty well during the day, but showing anxiety at night time. At this I would say he would do best in a house with someone that works from home at least a few days a week. He's not food aggressive at all. Story
Cole is a loving, gentle giant born May 10, 2022, and part of our family since December 2022. He’s affectionate, loves cuddling and belly rubs, and is house-trained. Despite his size, he thinks he’s a lap dog and has a sweet, sometimes timid personality he even gets scared of cats and loud outdoor noises like fireworks. Cole does well with smaller dogs but needs to be in a home without other large dominant dogs. Unfortunately, ongoing conflict with our other dog has made it impossible to give both dogs the quality of life they deserve, which led to this very difficult decision. Cole has had professional training and support is available for transition. He is not neutered, has some allergies, and may occasionally mark indoors. He deserves a home that offers structure, patience, and love a place where he can truly thrive.
