Story
We would like to share this letter from King's previous adopters: A Letter for King King is an amazingly sweet, goofy, loveable boy and he deserves to find his home. *He loves people and other dogs but he can be a bit rough. "Bull in a china shop." He either needs a big, non-dominant playmate or to be an only dog. * He's an absolute love bug!! Loves to cuddle and snuggle. He will gladly lay on a dog bed but prefers to be on the couch or bed, snuggled with his humans. *He will follow you around and sit and become your shadow. He just wants to be where you are and he will usually listen if you tell him to go and lay down. * Not much seems to be faze him. No fear of the vacuum (Just curious), follow you around and check it out. Slept right through a thunderstorm! In general he's a pretty chill dog. *King loves to be outside and will get sad if he doesn't get out much. He love running around the back yard, grazing on grass, rolling around and just laying in the sunshine. Maybe not a huge one, but he definitely needs a yard of some kind. * He is good with commands. Lay down, stay and come are good, but he's exceptionally good with sit, especially for food. King is extremely food motivated and he is super gentle when taking treats. He is a good eater, always ready for food. In regards to food: - no food aggression with treats but he didn't like another dog near is food bowl while eating. However, he didn't care about people... could pet him, put your hand near his food bowl and he showed no signs of aggression. - As said before, he is a very good eater and always looking for food. Would do just about anything to get a treat. Since he was often on the search for food. I fed him 3X a day... 3 1/2 cups per day 1 cup morning 1 cup afternoon 1 1/2 cup evening I work from home so I had availably to feed on that schedule. Please know that the reason we could not keep him was because of our older female dog. She was not as willing to share her space and we feared for the safety of the dogs. King NEVER instigated, only trying to play, nit he would defend himself. No major incidents, but that is what we are trying to avoid. King deserves to be safe, happy and given all the love and treats he can get. We wanted to give him that and I will truly miss him with all of my heart... we wanted to be his forever home.
