Story
Please contact my foster at: easanders3@gmail.comBuster Bear has clearly had a rough start to life, but he’s making up for lost time by soaking up all the love he can get. He’s a true Velcro dog: affectionate, cuddly, and happiest when he’s right next to his people. What to know about Buster:•Extremely people-oriented; follows his humans from room to room and wants to be as close to you as possible (if not on you)•Sweet, affectionate, and loves to snuggle•Happy boy with a tail that never stops wagging •Not a typical Cane Corso guard dog. He enjoys meeting new people and just wants love and attention•Experiences some separation anxiety and may cry; settles best when crated in a quiet room•Has zero concept of personal space and can be grabby with treats, so a home without small children is recommended•Came in very malnourished and is highly food-motivated; will try to eat things he shouldn’t, so supervision or crating is needed when left alone•Still working on house training; tends to mark or have accidents when excited, which may get better after his neuter•Does great in the car but needs to be clipped in; he will try to get in your lap•Large, strong boy who would benefit from a strong handler and consistent leash training•Appears dog-friendly, but slow, proper introductions are always recommended•Does not seem cat-friendly and will bark at cats•Not a fan of being outside, so he would love to be an only indoor dog•Heartworm positive, so exercise should be limited, and monthly prevention is necessary to prevent further damage to his heart and organsBuster is a big, soft-hearted lovebug who will thrive with structure and continued training. He enjoys napping, cuddling, and eating, but his favorite thing by far is love and affection. He will make a wonderful companion!

Story
Please contact my foster for more info about me @noelway967@gmail.comYour Oversized Lap Dog Extraordinaire!Looking for a loyal shadow who doubles as a space heater? Meet Bair (AKA “Zoe`!) At 125 pounds, she has mastered the art of being a lap dog. If you’ve ever dreamed of being lovingly flattened during movie night, she’s your girl. She’ll follow you everywhere—yes, even to the bathroom. Privacy is a myth. Bair is a world-class snuggler who lives for belly rubs and will gently pat your face with her giant paws out of pure excitement. She loves being involved in every part of your day and makes an excellent work-from-home coworker, snoozing quietly at your side. She’s calm, steady, affectionate, and clearly came from a loving home.Notes:- Best with an experienced dog parent. Needs a firm parent that can set boundaries.- She`s super smart and easy to train, especially with treats. - May be best in kennel when not being monitored- Does not like the vaccum cleaner- Best in a home with no children under 16- Excitable seeing dogs in public. Is working on reducing reactivity.- Needs to be the only dog due to food reactivity, but with humans she’s all love- Loves long walks and exploring everything around her. Strong on the leash.- Couch-potato-in-training: she’d love to hog your bed but is learning boundaries- Boutique breed vibes: likely a cane corso / Great Dane / pit bull blend- Not a big barker—unless someone approaches the home, when her natural guarding instincts kick in- Friendly with neighbors on walks- Prefers calm introductions- Food enthusiast and counter-surfer extraordinaire—keep snacks out of reach- Not a fan of the vacuum (she believes it must be defeated)- Knows her basics: sit, down, stay- Excellent at the vet—calm, cooperative, and estimated to be 5–6 years old- Built-in winter warmer: 125 pounds of snuggly insulation- Cherry eye? No worries—the shelter plans to repair it during her spay

Story
? Meet Zucchini — Proof That Miracles Can Happen ?Zucchini came to us as a stray, but unlike most strays, this handsome big guy had a microchip! We contacted the registered owner and learned an incredible story: three years ago, while the owner was away at basic training, he left Zucchini in someone’s care. During that time, he was told that Zucchini had either been lost or had passed away. You can imagine the shock and joy when he found out Zucchini was not only alive, but healthy and safe with us! ?? Unfortunately, he is no longer living in the U.S., and as much as he wanted to, he wasn’t able to reclaim his beloved dog. So now, a brand-new chapter begins for Zucchini — and we hope it’s the happily-ever-after he and his former owner both deserve. This 8-year-old, 108-pound (yes, really!) Cane Corso/Mastiff mix is a stunning brindle boy with a heart to match his size. During his time here, he met a smaller spayed female who was a bit unsure at first — understandable given that he’s basically a tank — and she let him know with a little correction. Zucchini responded by backing off, regrouping, and returning with loose, wiggly body greetings. Soon enough, she was wiggling too!Our medical team has officially dubbed him a big GOOFY boy, suspecting that he may even be housebroken.?? If you’re looking for a giant furry companion and want to give Zucchini the forever family he truly deserves, please come meet him at:430 Bristol Drive, Statesville. We always recommend meet & greets with other dogs and children before adoption to help ensure the best match for everyone. And given his size, this is something you will want to do with Zucchini!?? Remember the 3-3-3 Rule When Adopting:3 Days: Your new pet may feel overwhelmed or unsure.3 Weeks: They begin to settle in and learn your household routine.3 Months: They feel secure, confident, and fully part of the family.?? Zucchini – A313700• 8 years old• Neutered male• 108 pounds (not a typo!)• Microchipped• UTD on vaccines/preventatives at ICAS• Adoption fee: 8??0??Let’s find Zucchini the forever family he was always meant to have — for him, and in honor of his original dad who loved him so much. ??#adoptfromicas #myicasrescue
