Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Snoop  Snoop is an 8 month old Cane Corso x Bully mix. You may remember when we welcomed him and his brother Bruce - for more on their background check out their welcome post https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1EE9RceMDT/?mibextid=wwXIfr Snoop may have had a rough start in life, but this sweet, sensitive boy is ready to find a home where he can finally feel safe and understood  Despite everything he’s been through, Snoop absolutely loves his people. He’s a big-time cuddler who will happily curl up beside you after a day of play. He also enjoys romping around with the dogs in his foster home and has done well with cats too! Snoop does have some special considerations. He can become easily overstimulated, especially by loud or sudden noises (the vacuum is his #1 enemy). When he gets overwhelmed, it can be difficult for him to settle again without support. Because of this, Snoop is looking for a quiet, adult-only home where he can feel secure and not be triggered by a lot of noise or chaos. He has recently started Prozac, which is already helping him regulate better, and he’ll need a patient, committed adopter who understands that he’s still learning how to navigate the world. Given his past neglect and abuse, Snoop may also stay a bit smaller than expected once fully grown. The good news? He’s got a great foundation to build on: Walks nicely on leash, Rides well in the car, Crate trained (sleeps soundly through the night!) Snoop is looking for an experienced home—power breed experience is required, and his adopters must be committed to continued training and structure to help him succeed. Snoop isn’t a “plug-and-play” dog—but for the right person, he will be an incredibly loyal, loving companion. He just needs someone willing to meet him where he’s at and help him continue to grow   Ideal Home: Quiet, adult-only home with understanding adopters,  Dog-friendly,  Cat-friendly, No children,  Experienced owner committed to ongoing training If you think you could be the calm, loving home Snoop has been waiting for, we’d love to hear from you! Story
INTELLIGENT & PLAYFULA smart, affectionate boy he should really be called Professor Wiggle Bottom since he turns into a soft, wiggly bundle the moment you give him attention - and watch out for his alter eager Sir Licks-a-Lot. BIO: - Cane Corso/Dogo mix, 5 years (approx) Male (neutered)- Large (73 lb weight), High/Medium energy-level- He is an unclaimed stray from an over-crowded municipal shelter- Kane is microchipped and has his core vaccinationsABOUT KANE: - Kane walks well on a leash, he is good with traffic and people that pass by. He is not reactive to other dogs he sees on a walk and hasn’t shown any prey drive, but he is a strong and curious guy and can pull when he sees something he wants to sniff out, with additional training we feel he’ll do even better on his walks- In the shelter his house-training has been inconsistent, however in his foster home - and with regular walks - there have not been any issues- Kane is a fun-loving guy and he will play alone. He LOVES enrichment games and learning new skills that use his smarts- Kane is good in a car, will jump right in and settle in- He knows sit, down, place, wait and stay and loves to practice them (he is very treat motivated which will make further training simpler)KANE’S IDEAL HOME:- This energetic guy will require daily mental and physical exercise to keep his mind busy, regular walks and a backyard will be important for his occasional zoomies and natural curiosity- We believe that Kane had very little structure in his life so far, but we have seen that he does well when he has it; a family with a regular routine will suit him well, especially as he adjusts in his new home- Kane will do best with an adopter who has experience with strong dogs - He will do best with older kids due to his size and strength- Kane gets along with most dogs, especially females, if his potential adopter already has a dog, we will arrange for a meet & greet. If you have any questions about Kane, contact his Adoption Coordinator at: jenc.ehs@gmail.com

Story
Max is an energetic, special boy! Max loves people but when he gets excited he can be quite mouthy and when he doesn’t get his way can be pushy. These are typical puppy behaviours but unfortunately he didn’t get the necessary training and guidance as he grew older and larger. Our Trainer will work with the successful adopters to ensure a successful transition. Potential adopters should expect to attend up to 6 (complimentary) training classes with his Trainer. ABOUT MAX: - Cane Corso Mix, Large-sized, High-energy - 6 year-old, Male, 75 lbs - Max came to EHS as an unclaimed stray - Max loves to go on hikes and runs and to play with his toys and interactive games - Max is neutered, house-trained, microchipped and has core vaccinations MAX’S IDEAL HOME: - A family that lives in a quiet neighbourhood - Rural area preferred - Previous dog experience required - Active but patient and calm family that is willing to give him plenty of exercise - Experience handling large breed dogs and committed to continuing his training - No other pets, no children and few visitors in the home Are you the special adopter for this special boy?
