Story
Ruby is a six year old American Pitbull Terrier/Cain Corso mix from a hoarding case where she endured physical abuse and many hungry nights. We suspect that Ruby was born and raised in that environment and has never received exposure to the outside world. Due to this, it takes Ruby some time to warm up to you.Once she does, she is an in your pocket type of pup! A wonderful sponsor is willing to cover my adoption cost of $225.00 so I can be adopted and enjoy being someone's best friend! All adopters must be vetted and approved to adopt from FOCCAS.Ruby has a way of making you feel wanted, when she greets you with a wagging nub and sweet face after a long day! She is very quiet and doesn't mind other dogs but would do best with a Male. She likes long walks and is doing well with leash training, and knows sit, down, touch and shake already! She does excellent when her foster mom bathes her and clips her nails, and is very patient. She is sweet and gentle until something scares her, then she jumps. She's good on a leash until something startles her, then she pulls.... And she's strong. She's a beautiful girl. Loving and gentle, loves attention but hates excitement. She's not a guard dog, she'll hide behind you in the threat of great danger, or if a butterfly scares her. Quiet, soft, and sweet Ruby, she wants to be right at your feet. Ruby needs to be an only dog.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. My adoption fee has been donated by an anonymous donor!!! Story
*housebroken *good with cats *energy and with her size no small children *no other dominant females *loves chew toys Beauty was found wandering all alone in Sweetwater, TN near the dump by a Good Samaritan who posted on Facebook in a lost and found group but no one came forward to claim her. :( Our animal control contact then reached out to us for help with this situation and connected us with the finder. At the time, the Monroe County shelter was over capacity and euthanizing on intake. When she arrived at woofwoof fosters it appeared something strange was going on with her eyes. Turns out, she had a condition called Entropion which caused her eyelashes/eyelids to grow inwards! We scheduled her for surgery ASAP as this can lead to blindness if left untreated! Beauty has since recovered from surgery and is now ready for adoption! She can be dog selective, particularly with other dominant females it seems. We plan to continue working with/testing her to further evaluate if she would be able to possibly live with another dog if their temperaments lined up or if she needs to be the only dog in the home. She would do best in a home without young children as she has a LOT of energy and not great body awareness. She loves to run and play and will require mental stimulation in her new home as well as frequent physical stimulation. We think some simple scent trail training or possibly snuffle mats may help meet her needs as she has a curious snout!

Story
My name is beretta, I am 2 years old, I found a loving home but I need more space and family time. I am great with kids, cats, other dogs and any animals pretty much never harmed anything. I love to play with toys and chew on bones! I do not play fetch I just run after the ball. I am very connected to my mom and kid we go on walks and play at the dog park. I do have some tummy problems with food so I am a little high maintenance and need to remain on the same food brand. I cannot eat human food a lot every once in while. I do not like crates, I howl and whine it gives me Anxiety so I would love to have a backyard or be left in a garage to roam while my family is gone. I get very bored being in the house alone. Also I am the best lap dog and love cuddles!!!! She does have mild separation anxiety she likes to be kept busy, lots of toys and maybe a play mate, she HATES kennels she doesn’t like confined spaces.

Story
Hi, I'm Richard, at 1.5 year old white Cane Corso mix. I'm an affectionate and cuddly boy who loves showing loyalty to the people around me — even at the shelter I am the favorite of all, I've got a heart as big as my massive frame. I'm neutered , HW treated and I'm ready to grow into an amazing family companion. My adoption fee is $275, and I'd love to meet you and start our journey together! 💙
