You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.BlueBelle is making great progress in her foster home, where she is resting up and gaining weight so that she can be spayed.  She has a devoted foster mom who said she walks nicely on on lead and is beautifully housetrained. She has shown some partiality to being around women as opposed to men, but we will continue assessing her needs as we go. She was found severely emaciated and we are hoping for her to gain about 20 pounds so she can be spayed and adopted! Her personality is gently appreciative and loving, and grateful for everything she is given. She was found as a stray, gobbling food she had found on  the side of the road. She is negative for heartworm and tick disease, and her only real issue is being underweight.     PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. Ruby is a six year old American Pitbull Terrier/Cain Corso mix from a hoarding case where she endured physical abuse and many hungry nights. We suspect that Ruby was born and raised in that environment and has never received exposure to the outside world. Due to this, it takes Ruby some time to warm up to you.Once she does, she is an in your pocket type of pup! A wonderful sponsor is willing to cover my adoption cost of $225.00 so I can be adopted and enjoy being someone's best friend! All adopters must be vetted and approved to adopt from FOCCAS.Ruby has a way of making you feel wanted, when she greets you with a wagging nub and sweet face after a long day! She is very quiet and doesn't mind other dogs but would do best with a Male. She likes long walks and is doing well with leash training, and knows sit,down, touch and shake already! She does excellent when her foster mom bathes her and clips her nails, and is very patient.She is sweet and gentle until something scares her, then she jumps. She's good on a leash until something startles her, then she pulls.... And she's strong. She's a beautiful girl. Loving and gentle, loves attention but hates excitement. She's not a guard dog, she'll hide behind you in the threat of great danger, or if a butterfly scares her. Quiet, soft, and sweet Ruby, she wants to be right at your feet. Ruby needs to be an only dog.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering.
