Story
Just look at those stunning blue eyes! Gigi is sure to captivate anyone she encounters with her gorgeous blue eyes, beautiful red coat, and her petite little frame. Add to that a fun and happy-go-lucky personality, and you’ve got an unforgettable companion! At just 39 lbs and almost a year old, we don’t expect her to get any bigger. She is the perfect size for cuddles on the couch, and outdoor adventures. We think she may be a Carolina Dog and Husky mix, but that’s just a guess. The reality is she’s probably a mixture of multiple breeds; a true Texas surprise! Gigi is the life of the party. Despite a rough start to life, she continues to bring joy, laughter, and fun everywhere she goes. She loves to let loose and run and roughhouse with her doggy friends, and then cuddle up with her humans for a nice long nap. Gigi is cat-friendly too! Gigi is still young, so she has a fair amount of energy. Since she is great with other dogs, she would do really well at the dog park, or doggy daycare to help get out some of that energy. She loves to go on walks and hikes, and could even make a great running partner. She will need to brush up a little on her leash skills though. She has lived in an apartment and does well as long as she gets adequate exercise. This cutie is just bursting with personality. She loves attention and affection from humans, and loves to play. She always has a big smile on her face, cheering up anyone around. Gigi is a very smart girl who is already potty and crate trained. She is food motivated and learns quickly. Gigi is a one-of-a-kind girl! Don’t miss your chance to make her part of your family! Currently fostered in Texas, she is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and ready to travel to her forever home in the PNW and NE areas. Apply here! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6612b1cc6858a1a6c50f0c51 Please email Leah.Smith@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Adoption fee includes transport to these states: WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, CT, VT, NY, PA, OH and BC Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA, approximately 30 minutes from the Canadian border). Brought by USDA licensed transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! Our dogs travel in style in our transport vehicle, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and onboard attendants providing 24-hour care. Local adoption in Texas is also available. The adoption fee is $775 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2-6 months of heartworm preventative according to age, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with a free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby, you also receive many other additional perks such as a • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program, prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue just celebrated our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 11,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Follow along on our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
Hi! My name is Nova, and here is a bit about me:Breed: Pharoh Hound/Canaan Dog mixAge: 1.5 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 30 lbsHeight: tbdHighlight(s): Athletic, Outgoing, Sweet, Friendly Even though I’m a young dog, I’ve already had quite an exciting life! I was taken in a few months ago after a really bad human tried to shoot me. I was so scared and confused that I bolted right through a giant bramble bush and as a result, damaged and lost sight in my left eye. The vets have now removedvthat eye, as it wasn't savable, but it doesn’t cause me any discomfort or challenges navigating my world.I think my name should be Supernova, because I’m an explosion of joy and sweetness! I love other dogs, cats, and most of all attention! If you so much as make eye contact with me, we’re automatically best friends forever. But that doesn’t mean I have to be the only star in your sky; I’d love to have a furry sibling or two!In the shelter where I live I make fast friends with everyone who comes into my orbit.Despite my scary start to life, I’m not nervous or shy when it comes to new people, animals, or situations - not even at the vet! So I do not tend to bark at strangers or when seeing new people. All it takes is reaching up my dainty paw to say hello and resting my chin on your lap and you’ll be seeing stars. I’m pretty sure that even in zero gravity, I could convince anyone to fall for me!I’ve got all of the joy and enthusiasm of any puppy my age, so I’m trying really hard to learn how not to take off like a rocket when I’m out for leash walks. Not getting out much right now, makes it hard. Once I get regular outings, this should improve on toning down my jets. Everything is just so new and fun! I would be over the moon to find someone who is similarly adventuresome and looking to experience the joys of discovery with me!I’m still a young girl, so someone who shares my athletic streak would be out of this world! I’m slender, long legged, and built like a desert hound, so I’d probably be an astronomical running partner. My vision loss doesn’t inhibit me one bit, so I’ll be up for any activity you enjoy. I’m ready for take off! Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: yesKids: unknown Fears: unknown/none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: some leash and making progress on house trainingLeash skills: yes. I’m leash and harness trained. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: not really. Difficult to learn in a shelter environment. Please help me learn! Health notes: I am now one-eyed.I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##1868187##

Hi! My name is NONYA, and here is a bit about me:Breed: Basenji/Canaan Dog mixAge: 1 yearGender: FemaleWeight: 11 kgHeight: 40 cmHighlight(s): Friendly, Sweet, Eager to please, Loving You’d never know by my sweet and loving demeanor that I was abandoned at a clinic as a 1 week old puppy and lived the first 5 months of my life in a cage there.Even though those first months are very important for a puppy’s socialization, somehow this confinement didn’t prevent me from being a sweet, cheerful girl. When my rescuer heard about my living conditions, she immediately took me away to live in her house with her. My rescuer was concerned at my small size and slow growth, worrying that perhaps I had a chromosome issue. Then the vet told us that I was absolutely riddled with worms, and they were stealing all of my nutrition. Rude! I feel so much better now that we’ve evicted those things. Now I’m focused on making up for that early lack of socialization by soaking up lots of play time with my foster family, including dogs: https://youtu.be/nPAAdPwDdN8, cats: https://youtu.be/i0iUjDYxlKU, and every human I meet!: https://youtu.be/6wZsDgStGXI, https://youtu.be/EJxUqNOLJ0E.My rescuer named me Nonya, which means “little spoiled girl”, because she says I deserve to be treated like a princess for all of my days. I wish I could tell her that I don’t need anything else, as long as I have a loving family who will make sure I never live in a cage again. I try to show her how much I appreciate everything she’s done for me by immediately doing anything she asks with affection and enthusiasm! She’s made me feel so safe that I am happy to meet any new person (or pet!) who comes my way, and I never feel the need to bark in alarm. You can see from my pictures that I always have an adoring gaze and a big, happy smile on my face for everyone!I’ve got all of the joy, curiosity, and enthusiasm of any young dog my age, and my rescuer says I’m so eager to please that I’d learn tricks and commands with ease. She thinks I’d fit well into practically any family, and that I’d thrive with other furry siblings (though I’m happy to be an only child as well!) Even though I’m still technically a puppy, I’m not one of those super energetic, hyper pups. I have about a 3/5 energy level, and I’m not a vocal girl.I’d really love to find a family of my own who wants to take me on adventures and show me all of the wonderful things the world outside of a cage has to offer!
