Story
Meet Lily Breed: Carolina Dog X Age: 1 year Weight: 35 lbs Housing: Detached home, townhome or apartments Health Status: Spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped Lily is a sweetheart, who has quickly become a staff favorite thanks to her gentle, affectionate nature. Lily loves nothing more than climbing into your lap and tipping herself backward for belly rubs, snuggles, and kisses. Lily is a sensitive soul who finds comfort in quiet companionship and steady, gentle handling. With the people she trusts, she blossoms into a loving and eager-to-please companion. Training Needs Lily is still learning about the world and needs a patient adopter who can help her build confidence at her own pace. She shows fear-based behaviors around men and will retreat, bark, or avoid interactions when she feels overwhelmed. The shelter will continue to assess her as she gets more exposure, but she will need slow introductions, positive reinforcement, and understanding. She is also sensitive to busy or hectic environments, especially during walks. A calm, predictable routine and continued confidence-building training will help her feel safe and secure. Ideal Home Lily will thrive in a quiet, low-traffic home with an adopter committed to gentle training, structure, and emotional support. A calm household in a less-busy area will help her feel at ease and reduce the triggers that can be overwhelming for her. She is not suited for homes with children or highly active, over stimulating environments. A patient adopter—preferably female or someone able to thoughtfully support her fear of men—will be key to helping Lily grow into the confident, loving companion she is meant to be. We anticipate Lily could live with another confident dog to help her take cues from and she passed her cat assessment with appropriate and calm behavior. With time, reassurance, and love, Lily has the potential to become an incredibly loyal and affectionate best friend. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ready to Apply? Story
My name is Monggoon, and I'm an 8-month-old Jindo-Shiba mix boy, weighing about 16kg (35 lbs). I was rescued just in time from a shelter, along with my brave mom, and now we’re both safe and being cared for with lots of love. I'm still a pup, so I’ve got lots to learn—but the good news is, I love people and I’m eager to please! Growing up next to my mom has helped me become a confident, social, and friendly boy. I get along really well with other dogs and always enjoy meeting new friends. Since I’m young, potty training is still a work in progress, but I’m super motivated by treats, which makes training fun and effective! I’m currently learning basic commands and going on practice walks, and I’m getting better every day. I pick things up quickly—especially when there’s food or praise involved! I might feel a little unsure if I’m suddenly separated from my mom, but if you give me some time, patience, and love, I promise I’ll come to you with tail wags and warm greetings. I’m a gentle soul with a big heart, and once I trust you, I’ll be your most loyal companion. All I need is someone who’s ready to guide me, love me, and help me grow into the amazing dog I know I can be. If you’re willing to be patient and kind, I’ll give you a lifetime of love, fun, and devotion. Could you be my forever family? I’ll be waiting with a wagging tail. 🐾💛 Love, Monggoon

Story
🏠 Currently in a Seattle foster home 🧡 Hi, I'm Milo 🧡 Age: 1 year Breed: Jindo-Shiba Mix Sex: Male Weight: 8kg (just under 18 lbs) I may be fully grown, but I’m a little guy with a big heart—and I’m ready to fill your home with love, one pawstep at a time. People say I look like a little teddy bear, with my soft brown fur and round eyes that are always full of curiosity. I’m small, sweet, and full of quiet charm. You might never guess it from my gentle looks, but I’ve already been through a lot in my short life. I was once on a euthanasia list… but I was saved just in time. Since then, I’ve only known shelter life. A real home? I’ve never had one. But I’m hoping that’s about to change—with you. Because I’ve never lived in a house, I haven’t learned all the rules yet—especially when it comes to potty training. I’m not used to going inside or outside properly, so I’ll need your help learning a routine from scratch. If you gently guide me to the same spot after meals, naps, and playtime—and reward me with yummy treats when I get it right—I’ll catch on quickly. If I make mistakes, please don’t scold me. Just quietly clean up and help me try again. I really want to learn! At first, I might be a little unsure around new people. I don’t trust easily, but not because I don’t want to—it’s just that I’ve never really known what it means to feel safe. That said, I’m very curious, and I love food (especially treats from your hand!). Give me a bit of time, and you’ll see me coming over on my own, asking for pets and showing you my soft, cuddly side. Sometimes sudden movements or unfamiliar touches might startle me, so it’s best to approach slowly at first—low posture, calm energy, and of course… snacks! With your patience and kindness, I’ll learn that hands mean love, not fear. When it’s time for walks, I do best with a chest harness and a backup leash for safety—two points of security, just in case. Quiet streets are my favorite for now. With gentle exposure and encouragement, I’ll slowly grow more confident exploring the world by your side. I know I’m not perfect. I still have so much to learn. But now is the perfect time to teach me. I’m young, open-hearted, and so eager to bond. With love, patience, and a calm guiding hand, I’ll grow into a polite, loyal companion who brings joy to your everyday life. I’ve lived my life behind shelter walls—but I’m ready to trade that for warm beds, gentle walks, and a forever family to call my own. Could that family be you? With hope in my eyes and love in my little heart, Milo 🐾

Story
🏠Currently in a Toronto foster home Hi, I’m Cici — and I can’t wait to meet my forever family. 🤎 I’m a 3-year-old Jindo–Shiba mix girl with a strong, healthy 16.8kg body and an even stronger heart. I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Korea — a place where my story almost ended before it truly began. But I got a second chance, and now I’m living safely in a foster home in Toronto, hoping the next part of my journey leads me straight into your arms. I love people. Really, truly love them. Even when I meet someone for the first time, I open my heart right away — wagging my tail, smiling, and gently asking for affection. I’m the type who likes to stay close, make eye contact, and share warm moments of connection. People say I have a very soft, loving soul. On walks, I get a little excited and may pull on the leash, but I’m practicing and getting better every day. I adjust quickly to new places and sounds, so everyday life with me is easy and fun. I also get along well with other dogs. I do have one thing to keep in mind: when I see small animals like cats or birds, my curiosity kicks in and I want to chase them. So in a home with different kinds of pets, I would need careful management. I’m a healthy eater, a bright and gentle girl, and I’ve been told more than once that I’m pretty adorable too. Just being near me, people say they feel warm — maybe that’s my special charm. Right now, I’m waiting for a forever family who will love me completely. Once I give my heart, I love deeply and for life. Please adopt me, and let me bring love, warmth, and joy into your home. 🤎
