Likely Pongo's sibling, she came from the same shelter and is blossoming more every day in foster care. She is currently enrolled in training classes and doing wonderfully. Pepper is a quick learner who benefits from structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Pepper absolutely loves other dogs. Playtime is her favorite - she could run and romp for hours with her dog friends. A home with another playful dog would be ideal for her, though she would also thrive with an adopter who can give her plenty of exercise and attention. She is shy at first and needs a patient adopter who will give her time to adjust, but once she feels comfortable, her affectionate, fun, and loving personality shines through. Vada (Vay-duh) is very shy but extremely loving! We rescued her at 6 months old and have had her for almost 2 years now. She is not super active and loves to be a couch potato with cuddles and snacks! She also loves walks around the neighborhood and sunbathing too! She does need people to be more patient with her as she does take longer to learn and adapt to most things. The only difference between her and a cat is her bark! She can also sit and give high fives!

Story

We received Kenzo from our niece in Nevada - so we drove him home as a 2-month old puppy. He will be 2 years old in February 2026. We realize he is now spending more time at the doggie day care than he is here at home. He is an active dog, who really likes to play and run around. With our full time jobs and small child, he is beyond what we can continue to sustain. He lives indoors, and is able to communicate when he needs to go out. He is crate trained, which is useful when needed. If Kenzo is able to have a yard and nearby park, he will do well. He is used to a play session to stimulate his BM and does enjoy play time with other dogs - although he does not seem to care for cats or possums much! 😅 He has never attacked one, but he will follow them and bark at them. Great dog - just not the right season of life for us.
