Story
Maverick is a sweet, loyal 9-year-old who loves being outside, going for walks, and spending lazy days inside by the window. He can be shy and nervous, so he needs a patient, experienced owner who can give him lots of love, attention, and consistency. He is obedient and responds well to firm, confident commands. Maverick has a protective/guard-dog instinct. On two occasions in the past, he has reacted aggressively toward strangers entering the home when his owner was not present. This is not a frequent behavior, but his future owner should understand and be comfortable managing this trait. Maverick has spent his entire life with Luna, our 9-year-old Weimaraner, and they are very bonded. We would love for them to stay together if possible. Rehoming him is heartbreaking, but due to my allergies, I can no longer keep him. Our goal is to find Maverick a loving, experienced home where he will be understood, cared for, and cherished.
