Story
🧡 Meet Penny: The Mystery Mix with a Heart of Gold 📍 Location: Lexington, SC 🐾 Name: Penny 🎂 Age: 2 years (Estimated DOB: 5/28/23) 🐶 Breed Guess: Carolina Dog? Jack Russell? Feist? Terrier? Honestly, no vet agrees — she’s a one-of-a-kind cutie and next on our DNA test list! ⚖️ Size: About 40 lbs 🚺 Sex: Female ✂️ Spayed: Yes 💉 Vaccines: UTD on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella 🧪 Health: Heartworm negative, microchipped, and current on heartworm & flea prevention 🐾 Gets Along With: ✅ Dogs: Loves other dogs — friendly with every dog she’s met ✅ Kids: Great with children ❓ Cats: Was previously fine with cats — we’re happy to cat test again if needed! 💔 Why She’s Looking for a Home: Penny was found as a stray and later adopted — but unfortunately returned when she grew bigger than the adopter expected. Now she’s ready for a forever home that loves her just the way she is. 🏡 Training & Preferences: ✅ House Trained: Yes 🏠 Crate Trained: Yes — but she does best with indoor/outdoor access (like a doggy door) as she still gets anxious in a crate when contained & left alone 💖 Personality: Penny is affectionate, upbeat, and eager to please. She has a sweet soul and just wants to be loved. Her energy level is moderate — she can be a little hyper at times, but she knows basic cues like “sit” and “down” and is very treat-motivated, making her a great candidate for further training. She walks beautifully on a leash and has shown nothing but friendliness toward everyone she meets — both human and canine. Penny would thrive in a home that can offer her companionship, structure, and the space to stretch her legs (and personality!). 📩 Interested? Send me a message with her name (Penny) so I know who you're inquiring about — I’m helping rehome multiple animals right now. ✔️ Adoption application & contract required to ensure she goes to a safe, loving home.

Story
Meet Cody 1 year old | Carolina Dog | Female | 47 lbs Charlotte, NC -Up-to-date on vaccines -Heartworm negative Spay scheduled for February. She can go to a foster-to-adopt home anytime before spay. :) In mid-July, Cody’s journey began when the owner of Dogs All Day found her living in the wild: malnourished, terrified, and fighting to survive. It took four months of consistent feeding, patience, and trust-building before she could finally be safely caught. Since then, Cody has made an incredible transformation. She is fully vetted and fostered at Dogs All Day in Charlotte, NC, Cody has adjusted to a structured daycare and boarding environment. With slow, thoughtful introductions, she has successfully joined full-day play groups and continues to gain confidence every day. She is crate trained, dog-social with proper introductions, and thrives in routines that offer clear expectations and consistency. Cody can be a little skeptical of new things at first which is completely understandable for a dog who once had to survive on her own but once she feels safe, her personality truly shines. She has opened up tremendously and continues to show how resilient and adaptable she is. She’s also very intelligent and picks up on routines quickly, so continued training should come easily with consistency and positive reinforcement. We’d recommend a single-dog home, or a home with adopters who are experienced in proper introductions and committed to following the 3-3-3 rule to set everyone up for success. Cody would do best in a house with a fenced yard, where she can continue building confidence in a calm, supportive environment. A big bonus: Cody is already settled and comfortable in a daycare and boarding setting at Dogs All Day, giving her future family an easy, familiar option for daycare days or travel needs! This is something many adopted dogs need time to adjust to, but Cody already has down. Cody has come so far, and now she’s ready for the final piece of her journey, a forever home of her own.
