Story
We’re a cute, sweet, and slightly chaotic (in the best way) crew looking for our forever homes! Our favorite hobbies include collecting sticks like prized possessions, lovingly destroying stuffies, and showing off our Olympic-level zoomies in the yard. Seriously… we’re fast. Blink and you might miss us. We’ve started crate training and are already little overachievers, plus we’re doing really well with potty training (gold stars all around, please ⭐). Our mama is just 35 lbs, so we’re expected to stay on the smaller side of medium—perfect for snuggles without taking over your whole couch… although we’ll definitely try. If you’re looking for a fun, playful, and slightly goofy new best friend (or two 😉), we’re your pups! Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Ludwig is a Heinz 57 mix (best guess) which makes the best kind of dogs and we expect he will be medium sized when full grown. He is long and lanky, that is the best way to describe him .. lol. He is sweet, fun and active pup looking for a family to show him the ropes.  A physically fenced yard is preferred due to him being a puppy to keep him safe. He is still young and will need to work on potty and leash training and would do best with children over 12 years old. He loves to be with people and doing what you are doing. He is also part spider monkey which just adds to his charm! He is neutered, current on vaccinations, preventions and microchipped.  He is outgoing and fun and does well with other dogs.  If you are looking for a companion to be with you all day, this is your guy! If you think you are the right family or person for Ludwig, please fill out our adoption application on our website at www.safehaventn.com .  We are happy to set up a meet and greet for the approved application.  His adoption fee is $300 (if being picked up in TN)  and he is being fostered in middle TN.  Please contact us for out of state adoption information.

Story
Reba is an affectionate, silly Carolina Dog who is about 35lbs & close to 1 yr old. While Reba is outgoing and demanding for attention once she knows you, she is shy at first. To help Reba transition into a new home, we believe is would be best to have another dog who is comfortable or a patient new mom or dad who can give her time to build her confidence. She currently lives with many other dogs and is great, but does have to be reminded to share her toys as she likes to hoard them. I. True puppy form, she can be a chewer or steal shoes, socks, etc but does switch to chew bones without use issue. She is crate trained and finds comfort in her crate when overwhelmed. She currently lives with a toddler and does great with him. When overwhelmed, she heads to her crate to rest. She will need some work on leash training as she doesn’t get regular walks, but as a people pleaser and lover, we believe she would be easy to train and would make a great adventure buddy as she is very agile and active. Mentioning agile, Reba can easily scale a chain link fence or short fence, so a 6 foot privacy fence would be needed to ensure her safety. She loves the outdoors, so she would love a secure fence. She is also housetrained with a doggy door, but may need work in a home without one as she is still a puppy. She doesn’t currently live with cats, but did in a prior foster home and didn’t pay them any attention. Reba is in Greensboro, NC, but can be transported to her forever home. Story
Ambrosius is named after the dog from the Jim Henson movie called “the Labyrinth”. We got him from the shelter, and he is about 6 years old. He is the sweetest boy and has no guile. He is gentle, patient obedient, and very affectionate. He is also very playful if you instigate it. He is super smart and knows plenty of tricks. He LOVES to go on walks!! They are his most favorite thing in his entire blessed existence. He is GREAT with my 5 kids, and bullied by the cat. He really is a great dog, and we are all very sad that he can’t come with us on this move.
