Kenai is a 9-month-old neutered male Carolina Dog/Heeler mix with a soft tan coat and an eager heart that’s ready to learn and love. This young pup is the perfect blend of playful energy and sweet devotion—he truly just wants to make his people proud.Kenai is still working on his basic manners, especially learning not to jump when he gets excited. When his excitement kicks in, he can also be a little mouthy in a playful puppy way. Because of this, Kenai would do best in a home with older children only who can help reinforce training and understand appropriate boundaries. The good news? He’s smart, willing, and eager to please, and with consistent training and patience, he’s going to shine.He loves going for walks and exploring the world, but due to some older healing wounds on his neck, Kenai is most comfortable being walked on a harness right now. This goofy guy enjoys running, playing, and getting all his zoomies out, so a house with a yard would be the ideal setup for him.Kenai appears dog-friendly, though meet and greets are required to ensure compatibility with any pets already in the home. He rides well in the car and has a serious weakness for pup cups—nothing makes him happier than a tasty reward for being a good boy!If you’re looking for a loving, enthusiastic companion who’s ready to learn, grow, and thrive with a patient and kind family, Kenai is excited to become the amazing dog he’s meant to be.
