Meet Nacho! Nacho walked into our driveway a few years ago and never left. We have searched and it seems like he is a Carolina Dog. Nacho is generally sweet with a laid back personality with those he knows and trusts. He is very protective and will bark at just about anything that goes by the door or window. We believe Nacho was dumped near our house and most likely abused. (He doesn't care for others being near his food bowl.) We need to find nacho a new home because we no longer have the capacity to care for him. We’ve kept him for multiple years, not knowing what to do with him, but we never really intended to keep him. He needs a larger yard where he can run and protect the yard. He also comes with a large kennel!

To learn more about this program, read about it on our website.Boski is a very intelligent, loving, and playful dog that sometimes believes he's still a tiny pup. He lives to chase balls, play with chew toys, and go to play group with other dogs. Boski also loves to chill out and cuddle when playtime is over. He knows many basic commands like sit, pay, down, stay, and "with me" (heel). Boski isn't one to pass up a good nap. He's kennel trained and can sometimes be slow to come out of the kennel if he's having a solid snooze. Other times, he's ready to exit and will give you a bear hug. Boski is harness trained and easy on leash after initial zoomies. He's a big boy who loves his people and dog friends! He'd be a great dog in many home situations.Boski is very dog friendly, but we recommend scheduling a meet and greet before fostering or adopting if you have another dog at home. His former owner says he loves curling up right beside his person and will lie there contentedly for as long as the pets continue. When it is time to get moving, Beaux is ready for running, fetch, tug-of-war, walks, squeaky toys, stuffed toys, or a good chew bone.Beaux has already learned 'sit', 'down', 'come', 'look at me', and can even bark on cue! Recent shelter outings have shown that he can be an excellent loose-leash walker. He has also participated successfully in shelter playgroup, where he ran into the yard, enjoyed push-pull play, and was paired with a doggy roommate. Beaux has potential to live with a well-matched canine companion, so ask shelter staff about scheduling a meet-and-greet with your resident dogs!Beaux recently met a family with four children ages nine through seventeen and appeared to be living his best life—allowing everyone to pet him and leaning against them to request even more affection. His former owner reported that Beaux could be wary of unfamiliar people, particularly when someone entered his home or approached too quickly.
