Story
Rex is a midnight-black sweetheart who’s learning that humans can be safe and gentle. He loves slow blinks, quiet company, and a patient person who understands that trust takes time. His cutest quirk: he prefers his wet-food bowl held up for him—but no staring while he eats, please. Once he decides you’re his person, he’ll bond deeply and quietly, offering his heart to the one human willing to earn it. Rex has lived with other cats in a home so another gentle soul is what he is searching for in a home.

Story
Meet Vanda, she learned to trust again in her foster home.Vanda’s story is one of love and loss. She was deeply bonded to her person, but when he passed away suddenly, she found herself back in our care. Understandably, she was spicy and confused about why her world has changed so drastically. But beneath that fiery exterior was a cat who simply missed her best friend. Our amazing fosters, Claire & John brought her to her home to see if she would blossom out of the shelter. And boy did she blossom! In foster, Vanda showed just how sweet and social she really is as an only kitty. She loved curling up on the couch beside her humans, happily settling into their laps for companionship and comfort. She followed her foster family around the house, meowing softly for attention and soaking up every bit of affection offered. Her foster described her as a “lovely cat”—calm, gentle, and deeply connected to her people.Vanda thrives as the only pet and is looking for a one-cat household where she can feel safe and adored. She has so much love to give and will make a wonderful companion for someone who wants a loyal, affectionate friend by their side. Her journey is a reminder that grief touches animals too. Vanda deserves someone who sees past her spice and recognizes the loyal, loving cat waiting to shine again. If you’re looking for a sweet, people-oriented cat who will fill your home with warmth, Vanda may be the perfect match. Ask about our Foster to Adopt Program!

Story
Meet Zach – A Sweet Senior Gentleman Looking for His Promise KeptZach is almost 12 years old and every bit the distinguished gentleman. With his soft fur and loving eyes, he’s the kind of cat who just wants to be near his person — soaking up attention, enjoying gentle brushing sessions, and quietly keeping you company.Zach came to us from his devoted mom living in an assisted living facility and could no longer care for him. She loved him dearly, and we made a promise to her that we would find him a wonderful new home to spend his golden years. Now we’re hoping someone special will help us keep that promise.Zach is diabetic, but his condition is very easily managed — his medication is simply given in his food. He has had full bloodwork and has gone through weeks of careful monitoring to ensure he is well regulated and feeling his best. He’s stable, comfortable, and ready for his next chapter. What Zach needs now isn’t complicated medical care — it’s love. A cozy bed. A sunny window. A kind hand to brush him. A forever home where he can spend his senior years exactly as he deserves: safe, cherished, and content. If you have room in your heart for a gentle, loving older boy, Zach is waiting to meet you. Help us keep our promise to his mom.
