Story
Mikey is playful, affectionate, and always up for a cuddle session after he's worn himself out chasing toys. He'd do best in a home where he gets plenty of attention and maybe a feline sibling to wrestle with. Mikey was born tailless, which means he could have what's called Manx syndrome (also known as sacrocaudal dysgenesis). This is a condition that can occur in cats born without a tail, where the spine and spinal cord didn't fully develop at the base. It can sometimes affect bladder and bowel control or hind leg function. Right now, Mikey's only symptom is an occasional dirty backside, but he's running, jumping, and using the litter box normally. It's just something his adopter should be aware of and monitor for throughout his life, with regular vet check-ins as he grows. We will require applicants have an established relationship with a local vet. If you have any questions, please reach out! adoption@mhpetrescue.org

Story
Mimi was trapped at a feral colony, but don't let that origin story fool you — Mimi never got the memo about being wild. This middle-aged sweetheart was not made for the outdoors and we don't know how she ended up there! She likes to be held, carried around like a baby, and will take all the attention you're willing to give. She plays hard, loves harder, and has a little bald spot on her nose from a mosquito allergy (that honestly just makes her more endearing). Mimi is healthy, happy, and very ready to be someone's everything! Visit her at Healthy Pet Products! 18700 Veterans Blvd, Port Charlotte FL 33954
