Story
Gizmo — 2-year-old femaleThere’s a whole lot of personality tucked underneath Gizmo’s blankie—we just have to give her a little time to show it.Right now, she’s a little shy here at the shelter and likes to tuck herself away where she feels safe. But gently peek under that blanket, offer her some scritches, and before long those little paws start making biscuits. ??Her former family tells us Gizmo is affectionate, independent, playful and, for such a little cat, quite the character! She loves feather wands, jingle toys, plush toys and catnip, and she’s even known for carrying her favorite toys off and stashing them away.Gizmo arrived with three other kitty cats who have since found homes, so now this sweet girl is waiting for her turn. She lived happily with other cats and enjoys playing with them—and once she’s comfortable, she’s even generous enough to give her feline friends baths. She has never lived with dogs.At home, Gizmo loved curling up on the couch or in her cat tree, watching birds outside and soaking up the sunshine through a window. We know the funny, affectionate little girl her family described is still right there. She just needs a little time to feel safe enough to let everyone see her. We’ve already gotten a glimpse of that sweet side, and we absolutely adore her. We can’t wait to see Gizmo blossom again in a home of her own.Even better: Gizmo’s adoption fee has been fully sponsored!

Story
Gunner is a four-year-old, neutered gentleman who is every bit as charming as he is handsome. His beautiful black coat is accented by a striking silvery mane, giving him a look that is uniquely his own.But Gunner’s best feature may be his personality. This extremely friendly fellow loves people and is happiest when he can hang out and be part of whatever is going on. He’s warm, social, and ready to settle comfortably into family life—whether that means greeting you when you come home, keeping you company around the house, or relaxing nearby while everyone spends time together.Gunner came to us with a bladder infection, which may have contributed to him feeling misunderstood before he received the help he needed. To support his urinary health, he eats Hill’s Prescription Diet c/d food and will need to remain on this special diet. Now that Gunner is feeling better, he’s ready to move forward and share all that friendliness and charm with a family of his own. If you’re looking for a handsome, people-loving cat who wants to be part of your everyday life, come meet Gunner!Fully sponsored - No Fee and comes with food.

Story
**Meet Seahorse**Seahorse is an approximately one-year-old boy who arrived at UPAWS as a stray from K.I. Sawyer. This gentle fellow is very timid and unsure of people, but he isn’t defensive—he simply sits quietly and watches the world around him. Seahorse needs a little TLC, a patient person, and time to discover that he is finally safe.In a calm home where he can adjust at his own pace, we believe this bashful young cat will begin to let his true personality shine.

Story
**Meet Blitzen**Blitzen is a spayed, approximately 10-year-old lady who has already come such a long way. When Blitzen arrived at UPAWS, she was terrified and in tremendous pain from a severe bladder infection. She didn’t understand that people were trying to help her—she only knew that she hurt. It took weeks of patience, care, and gentle persistence, but Blitzen is finally feeling better and beginning to show us the cat who was hidden beneath all that fear.Blitzen still takes time to trust, but once you break through her shell, you’ll discover a wonderfully entertaining little character. She may not be the type of cat who wants to cuddle all day, but she’ll rub and bump against you, chat away, and let you know that you have officially become one of her people. She loves her toys, her scratching posts, and breathing in the fresh air from the safety of her enclosed patio. What Blitzen needs now is a quiet, understanding home where she can fully relax, settle into a comfortable routine, and build a relationship with someone at her own pace.Blitzen eats Hill’s Prescription Diet c/d food and will need to remain on this diet to support her urinary health. Thanks to a kind supporter, **there is no adoption fee for Blitzen’s approved adopter**, and she’ll go home with a generous package of her special food to help get her started.Blitzen has spent enough time feeling frightened and uncomfortable. Now she deserves the chance to feel safe, understood, and truly at home. Will you be the person who gives her that chance?

Story
Minga is a six-month-old black-and-white beauty with a cautious heart and a wonderfully curious little spirit.Right now, Minga feels safest watching the world from a distance. She may hurry to a hiding place when someone enters her room, but the moment things become quiet, her curiosity draws her right back. She’ll come to the window, study you carefully, and stay close enough to see exactly what you’re doing. That brave little spark tells us there is a sweet young cat inside who truly wants to connect—she just hasn’t figured out how yet.Minga has lived comfortably with other cats and may enjoy sharing her new home with a friendly, confident feline companion. Most of all, she needs a patient person who will give her the time and space to discover that she is safe.Imagine Minga in your home: first watching you quietly from the doorway, then venturing out to play while you sit nearby. One day, she’ll choose to stay instead of hide. Later, she may settle beside you or offer that very first head bump—and you’ll know you earned something truly special: her trust. At only six months old, Minga has so much life ahead of her and plenty of time to blossom. Winning over a shy cat is a journey filled with small, beautiful victories, and the bond that grows from it can be extraordinary. If you have a peaceful home, a patient heart, and room in your life for a sweet little work in progress, come meet Minga.Pet Adoption Sponsorship from a Kind Supporter.
