Story
Howie is a handsome 9-year-old gentleman with a heart as big as his personality. In one word? Amazing. This special senior came to us when his previous family could no longer keep up with his medical care. Thanks to the incredible dedication of our veterinary team and staff, Howie’s diabetes is now in remission — something we are so proud of. Howie is happily in remission, but continued monitoring will be important to keep him feeling his best, as diabetes can sometimes require treatment again down the road.Howie will do best with a family who can stay attentive to his health, keep him on a managed diet, and work with an established veterinarian. With consistency and care, he is doing beautifully and enjoying life to the fullest.Howie is a total attention hog who wants to be wherever you are. He absolutely adores people, thrives on companionship, and if he thinks you’ve stopped petting too soon, he may offer a tiny reminder nip — just his funny, sweet way of asking for more love. He is affectionate, devoted, and full of personality.Howie is a very special boy who means a great deal to us. He is looking for a home that will cherish him, stay mindful of his care, and love him for the wonderful companion he is — and in return, he will give you endless affection, loyalty, and heart.Pet adoption sponsorship from Louis Cevigney. Story
Joysie is a 9-year-old female cat who truly loves people. She’s a social butterfly with humans — always happy to soak up attention, enjoy scratches behind the ears, and lounge in sunny spots near her favorite people.Joysie does have feline herpes, which presents as a chronic eye condition. It’s very manageable but does require daily eye drops and an established relationship with a veterinarian to help keep her feeling her best.Because of her medical needs, Joysie will need to be the only cat in the home, where she can relax, stay healthy, and be the center of attention — which suits her just fine.If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion and are comfortable with a simple daily care routine, Joysie has so much love to give and will make a wonderful addition to the right home.Pet Adoption Sponsorship from Joan Day - fee $25.

Story
Staff Pick: McDouble Chosen by Caregiver Savannah SwimWhen staff spend every day caring for cats, it says a lot when one quietly becomes a favorite—and for Savannah, that cat is McDouble.McDouble is a 5-year-old tabby who was found near McDonald`s and never claimed. She’s now fully ready for her next chapter—and Savannah can’t say enough good things about her.“She’s sweet, reserved, and just adorable,” Savannah says. “I love her grumpy face—it doesn’t match how sweet she really is.”McDouble is one of those cats who doesn’t push herself forward but truly shines once you take a moment with her. She’d do best in a calm home with older, respectful kids who will let her settle in at her own pace. Her favorite things? Squeeze tube treats, catnip toys, and a quiet space where she can feel safe and loved. Her adoption fee has been sponsored - fee-paid!If you trust the people who know these cats best—this is one to come meet.
