Story
This sweet boy was first spotted as a stray last winter, huddled close to his mother for warmth. We made sure they both stayed safe with food and an outdoor shelter, and now that he's grown up and on his own, he has decided he is ready to be a pampered indoor kitty! In just one week, he has become incredibly social and has revealed himself to be a total sweetheart. He absolutely loves pets, craves attention, shows off his fun playing skills, and is a wonderfully cute talker. He is also incredibly brave and confident as he doesn't get scared or skittish at all when he sees my cat or dog through the glass door. He also seems to good with the kids around our townhouse complex. Please help us find a loving forever home for this sweet, fun-loving survivor who is so ready to be someone's cherished companion.

Story
Birthday: March 19, 2025   Dragonfly was in dire need of medical attention when she was discovered. She was caught during a TNR mission and taken straight to the vet for an evaluation.  Her eyes were severely infected, and she suffered from an upper respiratory infection.  Thankfully, after antibiotics were administered to her, she's fully recovered and much happier for it!  However, one eye was damaged to the point where she has limited vision.  However, that doesn't stop her from living life to the fullest!    As you can imagine, Dragonfly is a bit shy and skittish, but she has improved since her foster began to work with her. After she learned that she gets treats after taking her eye medicine, she gladly accepts pets from her foster.  It may take some time for her to fully trust humans, but she's on the right track! As long as her new family understands of her nervous behavior, she'll grow more attached to them. She doesn't like being held and is getting more used to being petted. In fact sometimes she rolls for belly rubs.    Dragonfly does have some spunk in her too, surprisingly! She loves to play with her other feline buddies, especially Beetle and Butterfly!  It is best that she has another kitty friend either to go home with her or one at home that can take her under their paw and show her the new home and life. She covets toys like they are the holy grail! The only thing better than toys is food! She can't get enough of her canned meals, and it can make for a great bribe to ger her used to petting while she eats!   Dragonfly's adoption donation is $115 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.  If you would like more information on Dragonfly, please contact Kim at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. Story
Birthday: February 9, 2026 Available: Mid June 2026 We think, after you meet him, you'll find Acorn is the nuttiest kitty you'd ever seen! He's a little rascal who loves to have fun! He's so full of energy that he can get into some silly shenanigans, especially when his sister, Pansy, is involved! Wrestling is one of their favorite games, and he's hoping his future family wouldn't mind if she was adopted alongside him.  If not, he's a friendly guy! He would love to have another kitty to play and chase in his new home if his sister can't come. He guarantees you wouldn't regret it! Acorn can't get enough of playtime. If you wave a toy wand in front of him, he can't resist to pounce for it! After he has used up all his energy, he will show off his affectionate side.  He'll want to be with you, wanting pets.  The second you give him what he wants, he'll purr away! His adoption donation is $135 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter. Story
Birthday: April 17, 2025 Location: Steelton, PA Meg and Gabrielle are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. After nearly a year of being each other’s constant companions, separating them would be heartbreaking. The good news? You get two incredible cats for the price of two best friends! So what are these two like? Gabrielle, or Gabby to those who know her, is a stunning calico with piercing golden eyes that will stop you in your tracks. Though she is an adult, she’s still very tiny — a true perma-kitten! Her swishy little walk is genuinely hilarious and impossible not to love. What really sets Gabby apart, though, is her voice: she is wonderfully vocal, full of squeaks, chirps, and commentary that will keep you entertained all day long. Don’t let the drama fool you; Gabby is deeply affectionate. She loves pets and is perfectly happy to be scooped up and carried around the house, as long as those pets keep coming. She balances her playful, curious energy with a real love of quiet closeness, and she’ll check in on you throughout the day just to make sure things are going well. One small thing to know: Gabby does best on a prescription diet for her sensitive tummy. It’s a simple, manageable part of her care, and her future family will get all the details they need to keep her happy and healthy. And then there is sweet Meg. That’s what her fosters call her, and it says everything you need to know. She is an absolute joy.  She is a regal, long-faced beauty with a graceful neck and the most gorgeous long whiskers you’ve ever seen. She carries herself with quiet elegance, and then she curls up in your lap and kneads a heaping batch of biscuits before settling in for a nap.  Once she does, that's when you realize she’s also the coziest thing on earth. Petite in size but huge in personality, Meg proves that the best things really do come in small packages. Meg is a true snuggler. She seeks out her humans almost every day for cuddle sessions and brings a calming, warm presence to whatever room she’s in. She’s not demanding, just genuinely and sweetly devoted. If you’re watching TV, she’ll find you. If you need a quiet afternoon companion, she’s your girl. Their adoption donation is $165 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay. If you would like more information on Gabrielle, please contact lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. Story
Birthday: October 19, 2018 Special kitties and the people who love them deserve special treatment. That’s why Laurel has a watercolor portrait which will be given as our gift to the special person who adopts her. Laurel is sitting up high on her laurels!  This one-of-a-kind girl loves to tell you about her day and a story or two!  She's always striving to find new things to investigate just so she can tell you about it!  Always yearning for knowledge, this intelligent little lady will always wonder what's going on in the world!  Through her adventures, she's discovered the wonders of ping pong balls!  You can throw one around the house, and she will run after it like she was a cop chasing a jailbreaker!  She's climbing to the high peaks in her foster home and plays like she's a young kitten! Laurel will strike up a conversation with anyone!  It can be a person or another animal!  She doesn't mind calm, respectful puppy dogs; she also respects smaller animals, including rabbits and guinea pigs!  Initially, we thought that whenever she looked at the window and saw birds, she would talk to them as if they were buddies.  Little did we know that she was actually telling them off!  We guess she isn't much of a bird lover!  Though she is a social butterfly, Laurel wishes that her new home doesn't have any young children.  Plus, she wants to be the only cat in her household!  She's become a little "Regina" in her feline social circle, and we don't want any bullying to happen! Laurel is an incredibly active kitty!  It's hard to believe that this girl has diabetes!  She's currently under a special diet and given insulin twice a day to manage it!  If we weren't the ones administering it, we'd wouldn't have ever guessed!  We are starting to think she's too sweet for her own good!  Sure, she has an active side, but she also has a loving side!  She'll follow you around the house and stay close by your side.  She can't stand the thought of you being lonely!  In fact, she'd sit on your lap all day if you let her! Laurel's adoption donation is $50 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.
