Story
Merry and Pippin are 4‑year‑old bonded brothers from the same litter, looking for a loving forever home together. This adorable duo is almost always side by side—exploring in sync, bird‑watching from the window, or curled up in a shared nap spot. They can be a little shy at first, but once they feel safe, they turn into gentle, affectionate companions who enjoy quiet company and cozy routines. Both boys are neutered and up to date on vaccines. Merry has classic tabby swirls, while Pippin has sleek black tiger stripes—two very handsome “twin” cats who are easy to fall in love with. Because they’re so devoted to each other and a bit sensitive to other animals, they’d be happiest in a calm, indoor home where they can be the stars and soak up all the human attention. We’re hoping to find them a wonderful home soon and will respond quickly to serious inquiries about adopting this sweet bonded pair.

Story
Birthday: May 15, 2025   Like a beautiful, delicate mantis, our Mantis is both alluring and a catch! He came from a cat colony, where he was used to the presence of other kitties. Noises never seem to bother him, such as vacuum cleaners, because he lived along a busy highway. When he first arrived at his foster home, he was incredibly terrified. It was too much freedom in the house for the little guy, so he stayed in his crate.   Once he was used to the space, he acquainted himself with his fellow kitty mates. They gave him a little bit of confidence and a little bit of bad habits! One of the first things he learned was how to leap out of the baby gate! He may have given his foster parent a bit of a headache, but she assures that he is well worth it!    Mantis is still very timid, but the second he feels comfortable around you, you're his entire world!  He'll even let you hold him if he's okay with you! One of the best ways for him to come around is his dry food and treats! He's not much of a fan of canned food, so keep that in mind! He's an elusive nugget who's hard to catch, but the minute you snag him, he'll plop down for pets and attention! The purr train is never late! He loves toys and to be around other kitties.  It doesn't matter how big or small.  He's a small guy who probably won't grow much bigger.    If he has someone who can spend lot of time getting to know him and give him lots of playtime, he will be the happiest kitty in the world!   Mantis' adoption donation is $135 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter.  If you would like more information on Mantis, please contact Kim at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. Story
Birthday: April 17, 2025 Location: Steelton, PA Watch out because we have the Xena crew, and they're ready to be adopted! These four kitties were found together by a rescue project and brought to LCCR to find homes. Each one has a unique personality that makes them so special that you can't help but want to have one (or more) of them in your own home! Let's talk more about this one though!   Gabrielle, or Gabby for short, is an iconic calico and the perfect blend of playful hunter and affectionate companion! She's about as sweet as they come!  She would be an excellent companion for an older person or low-key kitty! She's got excellent hunting instincts and loves interactive play, but she's equally happy curling up for pets and purring sessions. This girl knows how to balance adventure with cuddle time.  She likes to take some solo time in the afternoon, but she will check in throughout the day to make sure you're doing fine!  She loves affection and quiet atmosphere! Gabby has an impressive purr motor and the hunting skills of a tiny lioness - the perfect combination of fierce and affectionate!   Her adoption donation is $135 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay. If you would like more information on Gabrielle, please contact lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. Story
Birthday: March 19, 2025   Dragonfly was in dire need of medical attention when she was discovered. She was caught during a TNR mission and taken straight to the vet for an evaluation.  Her eyes were severely infected, and she suffered from an upper respiratory infection.  Thankfully, after antibiotics were administered to her, she's fully recovered and much happier for it!  However, one eye was damaged to the point where she has limited vision.  However, that doesn't stop her from living life to the fullest!    As you can imagine, Dragonfly is a bit shy and skittish, but she has improved since her foster began to work with her. After she learned that she gets treats after taking her eye medicine, she gladly accepts pets from her foster.  It may take some time for her to fully trust humans, but she's on the right track! As long as her new family understands of her nervous behavior, she'll grow more attached to them. She doesn't like being held and is getting more used to being petted. In fact sometimes she rolls for belly rubs.    Dragonfly does have some spunk in her too, surprisingly! She loves to play with her other feline buddies, especially Beetle and Butterfly!  It is best that she has another kitty friend either to go home with her or one at home that can take her under their paw and show her the new home and life. She covets toys like they are the holy grail! The only thing better than toys is food! She can't get enough of her canned meals, and it can make for a great bribe to ger her used to petting while she eats!   Dragonfly's adoption donation is $135 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.  If you would like more information on Dragonfly, please contact Kim at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. Story
Birthday: July 15, 2025   Anise has a silly personality with a bigger heart. She was part of a TNR project, where she was found in a shed that was designated as the colony "feeder." It was weeks after the people involved with the project fixed the momma cat when Anise appeared from her hiding place, following her mother around.  Anise, along with a few other kitties, were brought to LCCR to find a family who would adore her! It wouldn't be a hard task once you meet her!   Though Anise is a bit timid, she's slowly overcoming her shyness with each passing day. She loves to play with her toys and, maybe more so, her brothers! With how they are helping her come out of her shell, we think if would be best if Anise were to be adopted with one of her siblings or have a kitty friend waiting for her at home! Many of Anise's older cousins are still at her current foster home, and she adores them to death!    While she might be a kitty's cat kind-of gal, she has also warmed up fondly with her humans! Whenever she receives pets, she'll purr away content as can be.  She's grateful of the canned food that's given to her at mealtimes, and she's a bit energetic when it comes to her litterbox! She may have some silly habits, but with her pretty tuxedo markings and long white whiskers, it's hard not to fall in love with this girl!   Anise's adoption donation is $135 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.  If you would like more information, please contact Kim at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. Story
Birthday: November 28, 2022 Cats may not need certification to be official lap cats, but Hadrian has it covered! This 16-pounds of pure lovin' is as sweet as sweet can get! He was taken care by loving people who found him in their yard. They thought it would be best to let him stay in their garage until a rescue could take him. They would have kept him if it weren't for the fact that they already had too many furbabies! When he was brought for a checkup, it was discovered that he was FIV+.  That may sound a bit scary, but we can assure you that it's not as bad as some may think it to be. Yes, the virus causes the cat's immune system to not function at full capacity. They are more prone to illnesses, so regular checkups make sure that they are in tip top shape.  The virus only affects felines through deep, penetrating puncture wounds.  Sharing the same water bowl and grooming are not efficient ways for the virus to spread to other felines. The best option for a FIV+ kitty is to remain in indoor cat. Despite this fact, Hadrian goes about each day like any other kitty! Hadrian comes over when you call for him, jumps on laps, revs his purr engine, and gladly accepts any form of attention, including but not limited to pettings! He has a bit of a ticklish side if you rub his belly too much. So, it's probably best if he went to a home where there are no young children who might get play-kicked by this strongman. Anytime you want a Velcro kitty who will actually sit on your lap, give Hadrian a call! His adoption donation is $115 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter.
