Story
Here’s a warm, honest paragraph you can use: Gordo is an incredibly sweet, affectionate 11-year-old cat who loves cuddles and being close to his people, and he deserves a calm, loving home where he can thrive. Unfortunately, our family’s circumstances have changed — our six-year-old was recently diagnosed with cat allergies, and I’ve developed some symptoms as well. With two energetic young kids and limited space, Gordo spends most of his days hiding in the basement, which is no way for such a loving companion to live. As hard as it is, we want to find him a home where he can receive the attention, comfort, and peaceful environment he truly deserves.

Story
Peter started showing up in the summer to make biscuits on my rocking chair. We noticed some kittens popped up so we TNRd him and vaccinated him. He has been primarily an outdoor cat but he would really like to be an indoor cat. He waits at our door for hours to ask if we can come out or he can come in. Unfortunately, I am extremely allergic and all of my attempts to be less allergic the last couple months have not worked so we havent been able to consistently let him inside. However, with the weather cooling down, I just feel too guilty to let him wait at our door all night. Please let him find a home that can let him in. His favorite things to do are: nap on top of me, clean himself in weird positions, eat, cuddle, make biscuits, and then cuddle more. If he could cuddle with me all day, I am pretty sure that would be the ideal life for him. We do have a dog who he casually coexists with. I cant say theyre friends but he has cuddled with her (in an attempt to cuddle with me)

Story
Birthday: July 7. 2024 We have the mother-manager of the Taylor Swift Poetry crew here to show you what it's all about! Poet was wandering the streets of Harrisburg when a good Samaritan discovered her. She was trapped and brought to the vet for an examination.  Much to everyone's surprise, Poet was nursing! Rescue efforts quickly went underway to find her kittens.  After days of grueling efforts, Poet's kittens were found in an abandoned home.  They were promptly rescued and reunited with their mother. From there, they made their way to LCCR, where they are all eagerly awaiting for their forever family! Poet is just as excited to meet her potential human! There's something about Poet that's just charming. Is it her sleek, panther-like form? Her gleaming, beautiful fur? That glint in her eyes that makes you wonder what's going on in that silly little head? Whatever it is, it's absolutely magnetic! Personally, we think it's her personality! She's an outgoing girl with a knack for social bonding! She loves people almost as much as she loves her Churus! It's a trait she has passed on to her children along with her sweet demeanor.  She's a 10 out of 10 in our books, and you would be lucky to have this radiant little lady in your family! Her adoption donation is $115 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay. If you would like more information on Poet, please contact lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. Story
Birthday: May 15, 2025   Like a beautiful, delicate mantis, our Mantis is both alluring and a catch! He came from a cat colony, where he was used to the presence of other kitties. Noises never seem to bother him, such as vacuum cleaners, because he lived along a busy highway. When he first arrived at his foster home, he was incredibly terrified. It was too much freedom in the house for the little guy, so he stayed in his crate.   Once he was used to the space, he acquainted himself with his fellow kitty mates. They gave him a little bit of confidence and a little bit of bad habits! One of the first things he learned was how to leap out of the baby gate! He may have given his foster parent a bit of a headache, but she assures that he is well worth it!    Mantis is still very timid, but the second he feels comfortable around you, you're his entire world!  He'll even let you hold him if he's okay with you! One of the best ways for him to come around is his dry food and treats! He's not much of a fan of canned food, so keep that in mind! He's an elusive nugget who's hard to catch, but the minute you snag him, he'll plop down for pets and attention! The purr train is never late! He loves toys and to be around other kitties.  It doesn't matter how big or small.  He's a small guy who probably won't grow much bigger.    If he has someone who can spend lot of time getting to know him and give him lots of playtime, he will be the happiest kitty in the world!   Mantis' adoption donation is $135 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter.  If you would like more information on Mantis, please contact Kim at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. Story
Birthday: September 2, 2017 Paisley could just look at you, and you immediately fall in love with her. She's an incredibly sweet girl with a friendly personality who would be great for anyone.  Have kids or other cats? Paisley would love to meet them! Who know? Maybe she'll be the best friend they never realized they needed! She's as chill as they come, and it's pretty hard to be stress with her on your lap! If you're one who loves to watch TV, she will volunteer her services to warm your legs! She has a healthy appetite.  She'll let you rub her belly, thinking it might shift her meals around so she can take in more delicious food! If she wants attention from you, she has a cute way of giving her humans soft headbutts to let you know! Her adoption donation is $75 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay. Story
Birthday: April 17, 2025 Location: Steelton, PA Watch out because we have the Xena crew, and they're ready to be adopted! These four kitties were found together by a rescue project and brought to LCCR to find homes. Each one has a unique personality that makes them so special that you can't help but want to have one (or more) of them in your own home! Let's talk more about this one though!   Gabrielle, or Gabby for short, is an iconic calico and the perfect blend of playful hunter and affectionate companion! She's about as sweet as they come!  She would be an excellent companion for an older person or low-key kitty! She's got excellent hunting instincts and loves interactive play, but she's equally happy curling up for pets and purring sessions. This girl knows how to balance adventure with cuddle time.  She likes to take some solo time in the afternoon, but she will check in throughout the day to make sure you're doing fine!  She loves affection and quiet atmosphere! Gabby has an impressive purr motor and the hunting skills of a tiny lioness - the perfect combination of fierce and affectionate!   Her adoption donation is $135 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.
