He is roughly 5 months old.Ugo is a very shy little guy. He does like to hide and observe for awhile to see what you are doing, before he ventures out. He has slowly been coming out of his shell and becoming more comfortable. He will accept pets and he will occasionally join in on the play sessions with his littermates.He will need someone who will allow him to go at his own pace and become more confident.

He is an excellent shepherd of humans, preferring that everyone in the home be in approximately the same location so he can monitor properly, and he has turned into quite a lap cat! He does not understand that humans possess something called “personal space,” but he is quite insistent that his own space be respected: he will happily snuggle all evening and all night long, but he does get nippy if people pet him more than he wants. He is quite social and will come out and visit with even large groups of people as long as folks sit down, and he is very well behaved at the vet.Hunnter is moderately active and enjoys multiple play sessions daily. His favourite interactive toys are wand toys with furry attachments like mice. He loves strings and balls (especially if they make noise). He is a huge catnip fan, and he has become very good at scratching on his scratching posts, especially if they are occasionally “seasoned” with some of the ‘nip.Hunnter has food sensitivities that make him itchy, which makes him scratch and pluck his fur, so he needs to eat a specific food. He was also diagnosed with fatty liver in spring 2026, but he has recovered wonderfully. Luckily, Hunnter enjoys his kibble, and he has no problems taking it with water to make sure he gets good fluid intake. It is important that he eat only his own food and not get any other foods that might be left unattended. Because of this, and because he nips when he’s overstimulated or done with petting, he would do best in a home without young children. (Hunnter does not beg for food at the dinner table, and he is not a counter surfer, but he views snacks on the couch as fair game.)Hunnter is a fun and quirky companion. Here are a few of his “special somethings.”• He likes to play with doors and may accidentally lock himself in a room if a door is left partway open and not all the way open or shut.• He likes his nose and head stroked but is not as big on having his ears scratched, maybe because they used to be so itchy and people kept messing with them. It has taken her quite some time to learn that people can be trusted. She spent her first several months in care hidden away. Nellie has had several foster roommates who have helped to bring her out of her shell. She has gradually become more comfortable and confident with her fosters. She loves to be around other cats but can play a bit rough at times. Nellie enjoys playing interactively with a wand toy or on her own with other toys. She is an enthusiastic biscuit-maker but don`t let her knead on you as her claws are sharp!Nellie has learned to love pets and she now frequently seeks them out. It is important to pay attention while interacting with her though as she still occasionally gets nervous and will reach out with a swat if she feels uncomfortable. Pets are more successful if you let her come to your hand rather than reaching out for her.Any special needs or traits the adopter should know about?
