My name is Shadow and I am a 9 year old domestic shorthair. I first came home to my family of 2 dogs and 1 other cat. Over the years I have gotten 2 more cat siblings and have had a difficult time adjusting to my additional friends. I am very loved and a sweet cat that loves one on one attention but also don’t mind having my own space. Over the last few months I’ve started marking on my owner’s belongings to the point of having to replace several items and they are concerned about what that means when they decide to add a human to our family. I want to be in a loving forever home where I can be the best me and share all the love I have to give to my new family.

Story

Kiki is a very sweet and affectionate cat who loves cuddles and enjoys being around people. We rescued her from a home with dogs, but she didn’t have the best experience there. When we brought her in, we took time before introducing her to our male cat, but unfortunately, they didn’t get along and would sometimes fight. They mostly tolerate each other now, but the tension is still there. She does get along with my younger kitten, and they generally play well together. The reason I’m looking to rehome Kiki is because of her ongoing challenges with my other cats and a litter box habit where she sometimes pees just outside the box and doesn’t cover her waste, which can cause odors. I simply don’t have the experience or time to work with her on these habits, and I believe she would thrive in a home where she can get more one-on-one attention and care. Kiki deserves a loving, patient home where she can be her sweet self without the stress of conflict.
