She underwent jaw surgery, and as a result, her tongue now hangs out permanently. But Star doesn’t let her past define her. She is pure resilience wrapped in sweetness. Star is incredibly affectionate and so happy-natured. She loves to run, explore, and play, but she also knows how to wind down and melt into you for snuggles - the perfect balance of fun and companionship. She enjoys car rides and would make a wonderful adventure buddy for someone who wants a loyal co-pilot by their side. She’s very smart, already knows “sit,” and uses the doggie door like a total pro. Star is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find the family who will love her for the amazing, one-of-a-kind girl she is. Pet Description: Tilly is a 1 1/2 year old female Catahoula/Pit looking mix, about 50-55 lbs. She came to us after the death of her owner. Super sweet, great with other dogs, cats and children. Wants to be close to you and also help you do whatever it is you are doing - very inquisitive lady! Toys don't seem to interest her much. DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more. (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter). Take a look at Meadow! She is a two-year-old Catahoula Leopard dog mix and she is beautiful! Meadow was found by a kind homeowner out in the county where there were few houses and lots of pastures, rolling grassy fields, and not many neighbors! She brought Meadow to the shelter hoping her owners would come looking for her. No one ever came for Meadow and now she is available for adoption. Meadow has all of her vaccinations, she is heartworm negative, she has a microchip, and she has been spayed. On her behavior test she was very patient with other dogs and did not mind them being close to her! Meadow would probably be a good fit if you already have a dog in your home, but want to add to the fun by having two dogs!!

This is Lincoln. We rescued her from a sad situation, she was skin and bones and unbeknownst to us pregnant, we were 4/5th people to have her. She’s roughly 14-16 months old. When we rescued her she didn’t even have a name, she had never been shown any affection whatsoever and every time we attempted to pet her she would cower to the ground. The only consistent thing before coming to rescue is that she had always been with other dogs. She is good there and would probably be better if she wasn’t the only dog as she seeks comfort and guidance from them. We’ve worked with her and she’s past the skittish phase and is one of the most loving dogs ever seen but will likely take some time to get comfortable in a new home. She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body and just wants to be loved. This sweet girl is full of personality now. She has come out of her shell and will even throw you a smile. She is a great medium sized dog that weighs about 50 pounds. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and is heartworm negative. She is being fostered in North Alabama but is available to other areas via transport.

Atlas is great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends. He is cat-friendly, but he can be a bit much for them since he always wants to play—so he’d do best in a cat-free home or one with a very tolerant, confident cat. This guy is active, athletic, and always ready for an adventure. Walks, outings, and staying busy are his jam, so he’ll need an active family who can keep up with his enthusiasm for life. Atlas does have some separation anxiety, but it is very manageable and continues to improve with routine and structure.
