Sammy is a 1 year old male Catahoula Leopard Dog mix with striking, unique coloring that makes him stand out in any crowd. This handsome boy is full of energy and loves to play - chasing toys (and occasionally bringing them back) is one of his favorite things to do! He is a fast learner, and quickly catching on to Fetch. Sammy already knows how to do a perfect “Sit”, and is learning that sitting nicely is the best way to earn the affection he craves. Although he can be a bit jumpy at times, it’s only because he is so excited to be near you and share his love. And this adorable boy has plenty of love to share! With his playful spirit and eager-to-please personality, Sammy is ready to bring joy and fun to his forever home. Be sure to meet sweet Sammy today, you will be SO glad that you did! Story
Fonzie is a fun-loving, toy-obsessed dinosaur in a dog’s body who absolutely loves people but has zero interest in sharing the spotlight with other animals. He’s got a vocal range that could rival a T-Rex, making a funny squawk when he’s excited. When he’s not making noise, you’ll find him happily splashing around in his water bucket, living his best life. He may have some manners to work on to slide into civilization, but with his charm and energy, he’s guaranteed to keep you on your toes!  ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  Est DOB:  Oct 2021 ~  Intake weight:  80#  ~  Adoption details:  calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlAugust 24, 2025, 9:30 pm

Story
Gorgeous, freckly Daphne really speaks to you through her pretty dichromatic eyes. What is she saying? Let's play! She likes toys but loves squeaky balls the best of all. She's a springy girl who can clear a shorter fence, so the tall and solid variety is best. Oh, and Daphne has a superpower - she can adapt her play to match pretty much any dog! So bring your pup for a meet-n-greet. ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~ Est DOB: Mar 2023~ Intake weight: 56# ~ Adoption details: calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlJuly 4, 2025, 5:43 pm

Snuggle. Bunny. Yes, we know Luna is in fact a dog, but we just consider that a bonus! You won't need to file her teeth and good-mannered Luna is much less likely to chew your electrical cords (tho she can hop a fence).  She is much easier to take on walks, tho she thinks cardio is over-rated. This low-key girl much prefers your lap. Thoughtful to a fault, she knows there is no room in that lap for other critters, so asks to be your only snuggle bunny. ***Our pups don't tell us who their parents are - BREED is a GUESS*** ~  Est DOB: Mar 2018~  Intake weight:  49#  ~  Adoption details: calhouncountyhs.blogspot.com/p/adopt.htmlNovember 1, 2024, 11:11 pm

She is 6-7 months old. Has been with us since she was 6-10 weeks old. She has been with another dog, two cats, and a two year old since she came to live with us. She is great with other animals and is amazing with the toddler. We have to relocate and are heartbroken to have to rehome our pets. She is gentle and playful and wants to be loved.

Story
Levi is a LARGE boy for his breed. He is sweet as pie, but due to his size he is misunderstood. He would do best in a single dog home and one with only adults. He needs a strong handler and one that is willing to work with him. Levi will do best with a large enclosed fence, or even better yet a large pasture/farmland to run on. Levi is just a big goof ball at heart!
