Story
Lola is a sweet, gentle girl with a tender heart. While she is very shy at first, she prefers to avoid things that make her nervous rather than react to them. She'll even gently accept treats from strangers as she builds confidence. Since her early years were spent in a shelter instead of a home, many everyday sights and sounds are still new to her, but her foster has been helping her discover that the world isn't such a scary place. Lola LOVES playing with other dogs (big and small), enjoys her toys, and has plenty of energy for walks and adventures. Lola does wonderfully in the car and will sit calmly in the backseat. She is a wonderful walking companion and walks beautifully on leash without pulling, except if she's startled by a loud or unexpected noise. Because she can become frightened by sudden sounds, she is considered a flight risk and should always be walked on a secure leash and in a properly fitted collar or harness. Lola is crate trained and house trained. Lola has done great with other dogs and would do well with older, respectful children who understand that she'll need space and patience while she learns to trust them. With a kind, patient family, Lola will continue to blossom into the loyal, loving companion she's meant to be. Lola is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. 💙Meet Gus💙 This handsome fella is a Great Dane/ Catahoula mix! He is about 90 lbs. Despite his size, he is a lap dog and cuddle bug! He is a lover of squishy toys and playing keep away, adventurous, hysterical, larger than life personality, loyal and gentle. He loves other dogs and people. We have spent the last months together learning how to “dog.” Gus is completely deaf, and at first, was a bit overwhelmed with everything here at the ranch. We have spent hours up in the hills, been consistent with training and our routine, he’s learned to read cues and has gained so much confidence from Mama Dog and Fin. He now relies on his other senses, and instead of becoming frantic or overwhelmed, trusts the process. He trusts us, and more importantly, himself. He reads hand cues, and currently knows sit, down, “look” and come. Gus hasn’t been tested with cats, but he has reptile and horse friends alike. He is extremely gentle, but does have “young pup” energy and will need continued training and support. He would do best in a home with somebody home most of the time, or a patient and friendly dog friend to keep him company. Being that he is deaf, he finds comfort feeling a prescience and will look for that most all the time. He is healthy and fully vetted. Please share this wonderful gem of a dog! Gus will be neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. Gus is about 2 years old.
