Story
Looks like: Large Mixed Breed Female, 5 years old, 69 pounds Beach Lovers unite! If you are as much of a self-proclaimed beach bum as Flora is, then you should definitely meet each other! For this stunning girl with her mile-long legs, there is no other place she would rather be. Flora arrived at POMDR as a very special delivery, when we took in her pregnant mother Nellie in 2018 and she gave birth to a litter of adorable puppies with Flora among them. She got adopted as soon as she was old enough and moved to the quiet countryside. Since then, she has been deeply devoted and attentive to a small circle of people she knows and trusts. When meeting new people, she can be quite shy and requires patience and sensitivity while she slowly warms up. She likes a routine, spending the day with familiar peeps in familiar places, but she needs time to adjust to anything unfamiliar. Flora is very smart and always eager to learn, well-behaved when home alone, and an excellent co-pilot on car rides. This mellow pup gets along well with other easy-going dogs, but she is not a fan of sharing her home with other pups or with cats so she is looking to be a solo dog in her next home. She would like you to know that snuggling is not really her thing. Flora would love to find a quiet and predictable home with a really big yard, no young children, and with no other animals. Although she is usually calm, she does get spooked sometimes when on the leash and may pull quite hard. This independent lady is very strong and can be stubborn, so she is looking for her very special human who is equally strong to handle her, patient and intuitive with helping her overcome her insecurities, willing to keep her smart brain engaged with training, and most of all, someone who enjoys her amazing presence. POMDR will provide tools, guidance, and a consultation with a private trainer to get Flora off to a good start in her new home. After six beautiful years together, Flora returned to POMDR because her adopter's health declined and she was no longer able to provide Flora with the exercise and continued training she requires.

Story
Charlie would already be adopted if we didn’t already have a full house. He is a fun loving snuggle bug. 🥰 Charlie’s breed is guessed to be cattledog/German Shepherd/Catahoula mix. He is estimated to be approximately seven months old and currently weighs 49 pounds. He will gain several more pounds as he develops. Originally advertised as a female, Charlie was found as a stray and ended up in a Central Valley shelter with a high euthanasia rate. He is a good natured playful, happy, male curious about his surroundings and, typical of a pup, things fall into his mouth. He is easily redirected to appropriate chew toys. Charlie craves the companionship of humans and dogs. He is affectionate with people and plays well with the resident dogs (both male and female) in his foster home Charlie entertains himself with a ball or kong, walks calmly on a leash and is learning the sit and stay commands. He would benefit from basic training to learn other manners (come, down, etc.). Charlie is crate trained and sleeps quietly at night. Charlie does not soil in his kennel and on his way to being fully house trained. Charlie rides calmly in the vehicle. He is a happy, welcome camper at Camp Bow Wow in Livermore. Charlie has not been tested with children or cats, however there is no indication that he has any aggressive tendencies. The adoption fee is $350. All Lucky Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, treated to make sure they are flea free, are current on vaccines, and dewormed. A home inspection is required prior to adoption. If you would like more information, email Sue at dogs@s2springer.com. If you decide to e-mail, please tell us a bit about the home that you would provide for him.
