Story
Meet Potato! He was found along with his litter mates left in a box at someone's house. We were able to take them in and continue bottle feeding the puppies. Potato is beginning to take on a personality that is loving, playful, and curious! He would be a great addition to your home! To meet one of our adoptable pets or to start the adoption process, please access the adoption application on our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org or download and email it to crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com. We will then approve you (sending in the application does not obligate you to adopt) and we can set up a time for you to meet one or more of our pets. You can then pay the adoption fee and officially adopt after meeting your new family member. Alternatively, you can do the adoption over the phone before meeting your new pet. The benefit to this is that we will hold the pet for you. However, the adoption fee is non-refundable if you changed your mind after adopting over the phone. Most of our pets are obtained from animal control and therefore we are not certain of their breed or breed mix. We list breed mixes that they most resemble or that their former owners said they were. However, we don't make any guarantees about breed - it is a best guess! Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing or feline leukemia testing. We are happy to adopt out-of-state (and even out of the country!) but transportation for the adopted pet is the responsibility of the new pet owner. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, please click on the "Sponsor a Pet" button. Your donation will help feed the dogs, cats, small animals, and horses at CARE. Please email at crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com or call us at (864)972-9906 for more information. This phone number will reach Crossroads Animal Hospital, which is the home of CARE. During business hours, a receptionist will be able to speak with you regarding our adoptable pets. After business hours, the only way to contact CARE is via email. Our puppies and kittens are also eligible for 10% off the rest of the vaccines in their puppy/kitten vaccination series at Crossroads Animal Hospital. Most adult pets are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Puppies and kittens may have the surgery before adoption or we may have new owners return later for the surgery. Story
*Catahoula Mix*1.5 yrs old; 56lbs*Friendly, waggy tailed, head turning fella. Great in doggy play groups. Tall and lanky and leggy and most handsome. Easy to manage and polite. Here with sibling LIMU.You`re gonna like DOUG. Everyone likes Doug.  Our tall, lanky, playful and most loveable boy is silly and goofy and graced with a superb disposition.  An owner surrender with his sibling LIMU,  he`s not lost any time settling in and is doing a great job.   A natural in our doggy play groups,  while he may tower over the majority of the dogs under our care,  he is very soft and never pushy in his ways and does a wonderful job mixing, mingling and interacting with a host of other 4 leggeds.   Just a year and 1/2 old,  he`s more chill, very polite and easy to manage.  He`s not so much into toys but is curious about his surroundings and enjoys his exploratory time in our play yards.   A very `cool` looking dog with his muted, patchwork pattern and sky blue eyes,  he`s a head turning, statement doggy that attracts lots of attention.   Our go with the flo fella can`t wait to get back in a home where he can put his pet skills to good use.  Perhaps your home is right for him!
