Story
💕✨ Hi, I'm Diva ✨💕 I'm about 2 years old, and before Big Dogs Don't Cry saved me, my life looked very different. I was found starving in a cage. My siblings and I were abandoned, and sadly, they didn't make it. I was running out of time too. The shelter was preparing to euthanize me, but then Big Dogs Don't Cry stepped in and gave me a chance. A chance to learn what love feels like. A chance to be someone's family. And wow... have I been making the most of it. 🩷 My foster family says I've absolutely blossomed. The scared little girl they first met has completely come out of her shell. I LOVE people. More than anything in the world, I just want to be close to my humans. If I could spend all day curled up beside you on the couch, gazing into your eyes like you're the greatest thing I've ever seen, I would. Because honestly? You probably are. I've become part of the nightly routine around here. You'll find me snuggled up for Love Island, soaking up cuddles and enjoying every second of being included. I'm kennel trained and sleep quietly in my kennel with my comfy bed and blanket at night or whenever my people are away. I'm mostly potty trained too! I still have an occasional accident while I learn the ropes, but I'm working hard to figure out how to tell my family when I need to go outside. I get along well with other dogs and have done wonderfully with my foster siblings after slow introductions. I enjoy having canine friends, but my favorite thing will always be my people. When it comes to meals, I love my Kirkland Salmon food so much that I eat it a little too fast! A slow feeder would probably help me remember to savor every bite. After everything I've been through, I don't ask for much. Just a soft couch, a warm bed, a full belly, and someone who will love me forever. I've known hunger. I've known loneliness. I've known what it feels like to be forgotten. Now I'm ready to know what forever feels like. Could that forever be with you? 🩷🐾 Apply to adopt me today. I promise I'll spend every day showing you just how grateful I am. Www.bigdogsdontcry.com 🐾💕 #AdoptDiva #BigDogsDontCry #RescueDog #ForeverHomeWanted #SecondChanceAtLife

DINKLEY - SPRING ADOPTION SPECIAL $50 Dinkley will need a special adopter. Someone that can care for his special needs. He is a 1.5 YRS old, 40 pound catahoula mix. He is very energetic and definitely needs help learning his puppy manners still. He is very, very smart. He enjoys wobble feeders, kongs, and puzzle toys. He has not been formally dog tested yet but we are happy to get that officially done, at a later date. After a few initial barks he settled down during a through-fence meeting. Dinkley is just a baby and deserves to live for as long as his heart will let him. Hopefully, he can live a long life with proper medical care! Dinkley has been diagnosed with possible Pulmonary Stenosis. It is under control and the vet feels he has a full life a head of him. He will need to see the cardiologist probably twice a year for follow up. His adoption fee is $50. Story
Meet Bayou, a 4.5 month old Catahoula mix searching for his forever home. Bayou is everything you’d expect from a young puppy.. playful, bouncy, curious, and full of personality. He’s incredibly outgoing and loves making new friends wherever he goes. Whether he’s exploring the world around him or soaking up attention from people, Bayou is always ready for fun. Like any puppy, Bayou is still learning his manners and would thrive with a family ready to help him grow through basic training and consistency. Bayou has done well with other dogs and could potentially love to share a home with a fursibling. Bayou is ready to find a family to call his own. Could that be you?

Story
**SILVER HAS BEEN ADOPTED!** Pal's Place would love to introduce you to an adorable group of seven precious and perfect pups! Our adoptable "S" litter (Silver, Sapphire, Stuart, Shelby, Stanley, Sable, and Shiloh) are mixed-breed puppies seeking loving forever homes. Their appearance and characteristics suggest a family tree consisting of multiple breeds, most likely belonging to the Hound and Herding groups of dogs. We suspect Catahoula Leopard Dog, Australian Shepherd, and/or Cattledog, Coonhound, German Shepherd, and other similar breeds can be found in their ancestry. These sweethearts are about 3.5 months old (as of 6/16), weigh between 20 and 25 pounds, and are ready and anxious for families! They were rescued from an overburdened animal control facility in rural Kentucky and are now in a loving foster home in Chicago, waiting to meet their forever families. Since these little squirts were rescued from an animal control facility, we have no information about their parents' breeds or backgrounds. Their listed breed mix and estimated adult sizes are educated and informed guesses. Both parents were most likely mixed breeds, and the puppies in this litter are likely a combination of several breeds. However, we can confidently say that they are 100% puppy perfection! These puppies are a bit large for their age, and we are estimating an adult size ranging from 70 to 90 pounds. Stuart (M) is the largest, weighing in at a whopping 25 pounds. Shelby (F) is the smallest at 20 pounds. There are three females and four males in the litter. They are all very friendly, social, curious, and happy puppies and will make first-rate companions! Given their breed type, we expect them to mature into energetic and intelligent dogs that will do best with active families who can provide outlets for their very high-energy levels and intelligence. Couch potatoes they are not, and they all love to stay busy busy!! They love people and other dogs and are eager and excited to get out into the world with their new families. Puppies are CUTE and lovable, but also require a lot of patience and work as they grow up and learn about the world around them. Remember that puppies this age need frequent potty breaks (every 2-3 hours or so) and lots of playtime, training, guidance, and supervision throughout the day for the next several months. Please consider if you truly have the time and energy to raise a very young, high-energy working breed puppy before applying. Their adoption fee to the rescue is $475 per puppy. This fee helps to cover their medical expenses while in our care. They are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date with age-appropriate vaccines, and are taking monthly flea/heartworm preventatives. This litter is in a foster home and can be seen by appointment only after an application has been received and approved. For more info or an application, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com or visit our website at palsplacerescue.org. Unfortunately, we cannot place holds on our dogs for more than three days after an application has been received and approved for a meeting. Please do not apply to adopt unless you are ready to welcome a dog into your home within three days of applying. ADOPTION APPLICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE FROM THE RESCUE MAY END UP IN YOUR SPAM OR JUNK FOLDER. If you are waiting for our reply, please check those folders regularly. • The adoption fee for these puppies is $475. This fee helps to cover any necessary medical care to prepare them for adoption. Pal's Place relies solely on adoption fees and donations to care for the animals in our rescue. Your donation also helps save other dogs like this family from euthanasia. • Please email Palsplace1@hotmail.com for an adoption application and put the dog's name in the subject line. Please check your spam or junk folder; sometimes, the applications end up there. We are a volunteer-run organization, and we strive to respond to all inquiries within 24-48 hours. However, please be patient, as it can sometimes take longer for a reply. • All of our dogs are in foster homes and can be seen BY APPOINTMENT ONLY after an approved application has been received. For more information, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com. Email is the preferred method of contact and is the quickest way to receive a response. Unfortunately, we cannot hold our adoptable dogs for any reason. Please do not apply until you are prepared to adopt.

Story
Meet your hound dream 🐾🎶 Calling all hound lovers—this 2-year-old Tree Walker Hound is everything you love about the breed and more! With his athletic build, soulful eyes, and classic hound spirit, he’s ready to be your adventure buddy and loyal sidekick. This guy has energy to spare and absolutely *lives* for a good run or a long walk. If you’re someone who enjoys the outdoors, he’ll be right there with you, nose to the ground and tail wagging the whole way. True to his hound nature, he’s curious, enthusiastic, and always ready to explore. He’s wonderful with kids and does great with other dogs, making him a fantastic addition to an active family. As for cats—he may give them a chase (it’s that hound instinct!), but it’s all about the thrill of the chase, not aggression. He’d thrive in a home that understands and appreciates hounds—someone who will embrace his energy, give him room to move, and love him for the fun, spirited dog he is. If you’ve got a soft spot for hounds, this boy is calling your name 💙 Apply to adopt him at: [www.bigdogsdontcry.com](http://www.bigdogsdontcry.com) Your next adventure starts here!
