Story
Meet Dottie, a beautiful 4-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix looking for a fresh start with the right family. This smart, loyal girl was recently returned to our care after no longer being the best fit for her previous home. Dottie is a devoted companion who bonds closely with her people and thrives when she has structure, activity, and clear expectations. Dottie is house trained, walks well on a leash, knows basic obedience commands, and has even previously participated in agility and skills work, which she truly enjoyed. She is an intelligent, active dog who would love a home that will continue to engage both her mind and body. She loves being with her people and is happiest when included in daily life. Dottie can get along with some other dogs, but she will require a meet and greet with any potential canine companions. She also does best being fed separately from other animals. We do want to be transparent that Dottie was involved in an incident with a child at her previous home. The family lived on a busy corner and utilized an invisible fence system. A child unknowingly entered the yard, and Dottie reacted protectively toward her home and family. While we do not take the situation lightly, Dottie has not shown concerning aggression during her time in our care. We believe this incident highlights the importance of respecting boundaries and always asking permission before approaching unfamiliar dogs or entering private property. Because of this history, Dottie will only be placed in a home with children over the age of 10, or an adult-only home. She will also need a securely contained yard and owners who understand breed tendencies and are committed to responsible management. Dottie is a loving, capable dog with so much to offer the right home. With experienced owners who can provide guidance, consistency, and companionship, we know she has the potential to thrive once again.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Coheresy post  Meet Beth Beth is a nearly 4-year-old German Shepherd/Catahoula mix looking for a home that can provide the structure, consistency, and lower-stimulation environment she needs to thrive. Beth is house-trained, crate-trained, and has completed both obedience and behavior training. She originally began service dog training and learned many commands, including sit, down, bed, and several others. While she showed great potential, her anxiety ultimately made public access work too stressful, and she was withdrawn from service dog training. Beth is an intelligent, loyal dog who bonds closely with her people. She enjoys having a routine, responds well to structure, and loves being included in daily life. She has successfully lived with other dogs and currently lives with three cats without issue. Beth’s biggest challenge is that she becomes overstimulated in busy environments. She also struggles with resource guarding and anxiety, which have become increasingly difficult to manage in a household with young children. While she has received training and her family has worked hard to help her succeed, the current environment is simply not the right fit for her needs. Because of this, Beth would do best in a home without young children and with an owner who understands working breeds, anxiety, and resource-guarding behaviors. She would thrive in a calmer environment where she can continue to have structure, consistency, and clear boundaries. This decision has been heartbreaking for our family. Beth is deeply loved, and our only goal is to find her a home where she can be safe, successful, and happy. We believe she has so much to offer the right person and deserves a family that is the best match for her needs. If you think Beth may be a good fit for your home, we’d love to help you learn more about her.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 18, 2026, 12:24 pm

Name: Pippa Breed: Australian Shepherd Mix Sex: Female Age: DOB: 12-20-2024 Spayed/Neutered: Will be spayed prior to adoption Vaccinations: Vaccines will be up to date - all vaccinations required after adoption are the responsibility of the adopter. Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age) Housetrained: Not yet Microchipped: Yes Adoption Fee/Donation: $350 Important!! Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy's life. Do you have the time? Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter, heart worm test if applicable) microchip, worming and flea/tick/heart worm (if applicable) preventatives. Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
