Story
This sweet girl is Annie, a Catahoula Leopard/Pitbull mix, born approximately December 2020.  Annie is looking for a new place to call home!  She is housebroken and crate trained.  Her kennel is her safe place - she sleeps in her kennel at night and goes back in at the end of the day when she's ready for bed.  During the day, she enjoys a walk or two, playing fetch in the backyard or hanging out with her canine friends.  She also enjoys spending time lounging on the couch, chewing a Nylabone or looking out the window.  She is a pretty independent lady, but will enjoy snuggling with you on the couch at night.  Annie only has 1 eye, but that doesn't stop her from having the zoomies in the yard or catching a tennis ball!!  Annie would do well with someone that works at home and she prefers women.  She's a little nervous around new people and needs slow introductions.  She does well around most dogs, but is a little reactive towards some when out walking.  Annie knows some commands and did a Board & Train program in the fall of 2022.  She has a lot of potential and will benefit from continued training. The suggested adoption donation for Annie is $400. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2021 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $307,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Bailey is a relaxed Catahoula Mix (b. 2016).  Bailey and her buddy (Jax) are looking for a new place to call home.  They are fully house trained, kennel trained, know more than just basic commands and are always happy to see people.  They have been around babies, kids and cats with no incidents.  Jax and Bailey love to wrestle with each other and chase each other around the yard (a fenced yard would be awesome).  Bailey is usually calm and has her own personality.  She generally will follow you around the house at a distance and lounge in the room you are in.  She likes to play sometimes and will bring you a toy when she's ready.  Most of all, she loves tug-of-war and will talk to you while she plays.  They are both just looking for someone to give them love and attention! The suggested adoption donation for Bailey is $400, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
